The event in a few words

At the Trail de l’Epine, you come looking for forest, ridgelines, and that little taste of Savoyard adventure—without going to the ends of the earth 😉.

The terrain plays with contrasts around La Motte-Servolex: sheltered stretches under the trees, breathers up high, and panoramas that quickly remind you why we love “getting some fresh air”… literally 🏔️.

You choose your kind of fun (and your challenge):

L’Épinette (10 km / 250 m+) : perfect if you want to get started, enjoy yourself, and finish with a smile without burning out—a real opener with just the right bite 🌲.

La Sorpi (16 km / 450 m+) : the right balance between pick-ups and elevation, playful enough to keep you busy, smooth enough to treat yourself 🥾.

La Crête (24 km / 1,100 m+) : the “queen” of the weekend, more demanding, with stunning views over the Épine Massif—and then you understand why it’s called the Ridge!

Me, as a local, I’m telling you: come for the race, stay for the area.

After you cross the finish line, go for a proper recovery, Savoie-style: head to Lac du Bourget for a stroll by the water, swing by Chambéry and its little streets, stop at the Elephants’ Fountain (photo mandatory), and if you want a more “nature” moment, head to the Épine Massif for an easy walk with family or as a couple.

You’ll head home with legs very much alive, a head full of images, and just one desire: come back, “spine” after “spine” (promise, I won’t overdo it) ✨.
