For its 8th edition, the Trail of the 3 Valleys is once again inviting you to <a href="kavval://cities/f4a2c3eb-cf74-4fb7-a50e-e81558b3061a" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Montbrun</a> in the <a href="kavval://level2AdminAreas/9aea8355-f52c-4a67-974d-cffa9a11000b" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Lot</a>, in the <a href="kavval://level1AdminAreas/05422728-9791-480e-979b-a64e381c0f91" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Occitania</a> region 🌞. It's often said that in <a href="kavval://pages/d134a5e6-e4fd-4904-ac92-e942cef1a0f6" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">April</a>, don't shed a thread 🧶, but we'll make an exception for this race! 😅 Indeed, you'll enjoy ideal weather right in the middle of spring 🌸. Moreover, the scenery 🖼️ will be breathtaking! 🙊 Hopefully, you'll still have enough breath left to run your <a href="kavval://pages/19c6236d-b5b7-431a-87ba-e50b74dcd383" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">trail</a> 😬. Enough joking, you'll be running very close to the <a href="https://www.parc-causses-du-quercy.fr/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Quercy Causses Regional Park</a>! 🤩 This park is classified as a <a href="https://unesco.delegfrance.org/List-of-Global-Geoparks-in-France-2519" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">UNESCO Global Geopark</a> 🌍, so expect some amazing scenery 👀. The courses will take you through a <a href="kavval://tags/off-road" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">preserved nature</a>, so you're expected to take care of it 🤓.On the program: 2 trail courses of 20 km and 12.5 km 🏃 plus a <a href="kavval://pages/5b49242e-6288-4e30-8649-74eb1ab8563f" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">10 km walk</a> are offered 🥾. The Trail of the 3 Valleys is a sports event open to the masses, which is why you can choose between a <a href="kavval://pages/4ce0ea33-aa06-4ed4-98b2-aa5ee46683e3" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">long trail</a> of 20 km and 750 mD+, quite demanding, or a <a href="kavval://pages/e491137f-198b-4414-a832-7aefb0439dec" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">short trail</a> of 12.5 km and 400 mD+, more accessible! 💪 The organizers even thought of hikers by offering a 10 km and 150 mD+ course 🚶. For the courses, the hike will let you explore the villages 🏘️ of <a href="https://www.montbrun.fr/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Montbrun</a>, <a href="https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cadrieu" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Cadrieu</a>, and <a href="https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gr%C3%A9alou" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Gréalou</a>, all while going through the maximum of trails 🌲. You'll cross magnificent landscapes between the <a href="https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Causse" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">plateau</a> and the <a href="https://www.tourisme-lot.com/lot-valley" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Lot valley</a>, giving you a stunning view of the surrounding towns and their <a href="kavval://tags/history" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">local heritage</a>! 😍 On the 12.5 km, you'll embark on a fast course that's fairly smooth, starting with a single track path that's quite rocky 🪨. Turbo charge from the start 🚀 to secure a good spot in the pack 🏅. And if the course doesn't seem trail-like enough for you 👟, don't worry, a nice winding climb awaits you at the end of the course 😅. The more kilometers you accumulate 🎰, the more you'll go deep into the heart 🧡 of the 3 valleys: the Combe-Bounil, the Combe-Noire, and <a href="https://www.lot-46.com/198-009-montbrun-pat-pano-point-de-vue-combe-de-capbals-01/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Combe de Capbals</a> 🪨. You'll even have the chance to discover the <a href="https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Larroque-Toirac" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Larroque-Toirac plateau</a> 🏰. For the 20 km event, get ready to chain <a href="https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Combe#:~:text=In%20geomorphology%2C%20a%20combe%20is%20a,deep%20valleys%2C%20the%20crests." rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">valleys</a>, rugged descents, and other steep climbs and narrow trails through the <a href="kavval://tags/forest" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">woods</a> 🪵. Although the course begins on the same path as the 12.5 km trail, it won't be as smooth 🏎️. The end of the 20 km is very demanding 🥵, so you'll need to brace your legs! 🦵It would be a blunder for a trail runner not to be able to rev up in the valleys 🫤.But your effort will be rewarded! 🎁 Whether you're first 🥇 or last 🥉 (we don't wish that upon you 😖), you'll leave with a locally brewed beer 🍺. If you're among the best, you'll receive a bunch of asparagus from Montbrun's village farmers! 👨‍🌾 You can't find a more local prize than in the <a href="https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lot_(department)" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Lot</a> 😂. If you want to continue tasting the region's local cuisine, you can enjoy a delicious <a href="https://www.marmiton.org/recipes/recipe_homemade_walnut_tart_26279.aspx" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">walnut tart</a>! 🥜 It's the local specialty and apparently worth the trip 😋. If you're more of a salty team 🧂, we suggest trying the <a href="https://pelardon-aop.fr/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Pélardon</a> or <a href="https://www.produits-laitiers-aop.fr/products/rocamadour/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Rocamadour</a> 🐐, accompanied by a glass of local wine 🍷 from <a href="kavval://cities/d923d730-c08e-405c-a687-08b50a52dca7" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Marcillac</a> or <a href="kavval://cities/250e5320-a0df-422f-ae4b-52440f1068d0" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Cahors</a>, for example (to be consumed in moderation). And to burn off all that, you can go for a walk on one of the many trails in the <a href="https://lesglobeblogueurs.com/causses-du-quercy-nature-park/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Quercy Causses Regional Park</a> or explore 🔦 the area like a speleologist 🧗‍♀️ or even as a kayaker 🚣‍♂️.
