Wedel Run 2027

Looking for a race where, instead of energy gels, delicious chocolates are waiting for you, and at the finish line, instead of water, you’ll get a cup of hot, thick chocolate? Wedel Run is an absolutely iconic and undoubtedly the tastiest event on the capital’s sporting map. The race takes place every year in winter scenery in Warsaw’s Praga-Południe district.

The organizers prepare varied routes in the picturesque Skaryszewski Park: from fast and dynamic 5 km and 9 km, through a children’s run, all the way to a dedicated orienteering run. The park paths guarantee a great, flat surface, and the smell of chocolate wafting from the nearby historic E.Wedel factory literally gives runners wings. You’ll get to the start in no time by Warsaw trams, buses, or the second metro line (station National Stadium) 🚇.

After eating your well-deserved sweets at the finish line and collecting a unique, often edible medal, it’s worth spending the rest of the day in atmospheric Praga, which offers plenty of brilliant spots for a walk for two or a family outing:

A walk along the lanes of Skaryszewski Park: One of the largest and most beautiful parks in Warsaw delights with sculptures, charming ponds and a waterfall, which in winter have an exceptionally romantic, peaceful vibe 🌲.

A visit to the interactive E.Wedel Chocolate Museum: Located right next to the park, this modern museum is a paradise for children and adults. Here you can learn the history of cocoa, see the production process and, of course, taste delicious treats 🍫.

Exploring the artistic Soho Factory and Praga: Stroll through the nearby streets of Praga to feel the authentic Praga atmosphere, see the famous murals, and visit the one-of-a-kind Neon Museum 🎨.

Lunch in Praga’s atmospheric style: After a sweet start, it’s time for a proper meal. Nearby pubs and restaurants in Kamionek and Saska Kępa serve fantastic Polish and international cuisine – from traditional meat-filled dumplings to warming Asian ramen soups 🍲.
