Ready to bare your claws for a good cause? 🦁
The Lions of Hope Run is waiting for you in the sumptuous setting of the Parc de Sceaux in mid-November. Normally, a mild autumn temperature awaits you 🍁 (let’s hope it won’t rain... buckets 💦). This edition is organized by the Lions Clubs of the southern zone of the Hauts-de-Seine and promises much more than a simple sporting challenge 🔥. Above all, this race is charitable and full of hope ❤️.
No matter your level in running, you’ll find your place 😎. You can choose between two distances on a single loop: a 5 km or a 10 km, perfect for pushing yourself or simply enjoying it 😇. A 5 km walk is also offered, without timing, so you can take in the scenery at your leisure with your crew, your kids, or your favorite playlist 🎶. The youngest will also have their moment of glory with a 900-meter race, to do like the grown-ups—lion cub edition 👶. But what makes this race unique isn’t just its idyllic setting or its caring atmosphere; above all, it’s its solidarity dimension 🫶. Part of the proceeds are donated to social and cultural support for people—young or adult—living in precarious situations or with disabilities ⭐️. Many associations committed to sport and disability will therefore benefit from your effort and generosity 🧑🦽. The second part of the proceeds will be donated directly to Arthur Bellitto, a 17-year-old athlete preparing for the Los Angeles Paralympic Games and training in Antony. A donation box will also be available on site if you’d like to give and add your little stone to this edifice of hope 💰.
And after the race? No way you’re leaving without enjoying everything the area has to offer! ❌ Stroll through the Parc de Sceaux and admire its French formal gardens designed by Le Nôtre 😲. Extend the magic by visiting the Departmental Estate Museum, or go a bit further to the Palace of Versailles to pretend you’re Louis XIV for the duration of a selfie 🤳.
Running and doing a good deed—that’s the perfect combo, isn’t it? Don’t hesitate any longer! 😊
For this 10 km, you will start from the southern end of the Grand Canal 💦. You will run along the Grand Canal passing by the Cascades. When you reach the North Grove 🌲, you will take the fitness trail 💪, so watch out for obstacles! You will then head towards the Musée du Domaine de Sceaux, go through the woods, and you can proudly raise your arms as you cross the finish line 2 km further on! 🏁
A 900 m race is offered for the little lion cubs of hope 🦁. Ready to roar with joy?
