The event in a few words

We know you’ve always dreamed of being in Top Gun 🛩️—the world of aviation, a pair of Ray-ban 🕶️ perched on your nose, and the brotherly vibe you find on the tarmac! Well, since we’re super nice, we’re going to make your dream come true! 😉 The only thing is, you won’t be flying an F-14A Tomcat ✈️, but you’ll still be at the controls of your running shoes! 🤪 We’re inviting you to sign up for the AéroRun Lyon, to take part in a road tarmac 10 km race! 🤩 After a blazing success for this format in Paris, we absolutely had to do it somewhere else! In the middle of June, we’re heading to Lyon-Bron Airport for an imminent landing 🤪.

And running on a runway 🛫 means one thing: a flat course! A 10 km is simple, fast, and effective 🤌. With very few turns and practically zero elevation gain, a new PB (Personal Best) is waiting for you at the finish line 🏁. If you want to race an airplane, not sure it’ll be conclusive, but it will help you sprint! ⚡️ Prefer to discover this place gently? No worries—you can take part in the walk of 2.5 km! 🚶‍♀️ Either way, you’re supporting a charitable cause. 100% of your registration fee will be donated to the missions of Aviation Sans Frontières! 🤝 But what missions are we talking about exactly? We’re talking about funding the missions carried out in Madagascar, to develop the Hospital Plane project 🏥. Set up to send caregivers, equipment, medicines, food supplies… 🩺 With this project, the goal is to triple the number of medical missions on the island and to offer new care, for more comprehensive support 💝.

It’s beautiful, it’s meaningful—and it’s in Lyon, at the edge of Bron (juuuust next door), right in the Rhône department—not the river, of course 🙄. Want us to introduce the venue a bit more? The venue opens its doors to you across 2,000 hectares, where 100% of flights are dedicated to business aviation, making it the 3rd French airport in that regard 🤓. Sorry to disappoint, but this isn’t where you’ll go to fly off on vacation to Punta Cana… 🏖️ With more than 2,000 destinations on offer, 6 airlines are based there 📋. By the way, a little anecdote: this is the airport that hosted the first 100% electric flight. That’s good news! ✅ All of this is to say there are more wings there than in a bird’s nest! 🦅

And yes, Maverick, running in an unusual place is great—but so is culture! 🙃 To keep you going on your mental elevation journey, the region’s treasures are waiting for you 📍. The city of Lyon, the world capital of gastronomy, is ready and waiting for your post-race refuel 🍴. After such an effort, you’ve earned the right to get lost in the streets of Vieux Lyon or to try a real Lyonnais bouchon 😋. Between a little praline brioche for comfort or a stroll along the Saône riverbanks to loosen up your legs, the City of Lights knows how to pamper its athletes 🦁.

Slip on your aviator sunglasses 👓 and your running shoes 👟 and come race at the AéroRun Lyon!

4 reasons to join this race

Run in a Top Gun atmosphere 🛩️
It’s a pretty original race setting, isn’t it? Nothing like what you’re used to! 🌠 It’s on the tarmac, right among the planes, that you’ll take on this race. If you’re an aviation fan, this race is made for you! 💪
A course made for records 🔥
And yes, you guessed it: running on a runway—if it can send planes into the air—it must be seriously fast! 💨 Okay, you probably won’t start flying just like that, but since the course is very flat and very smooth, it might help you beat your personal best—and maybe even the race itself! ⏱️
Run for a good cause ❤️
All of the profits are donated to Aviation Sans Frontières. Your registration helps fund vital humanitarian missions, like transporting medicines or food supplies, and even developing medical aid locally in Madagascar. Every kilometer you cover has a real, direct impact on the lives of those who need it 💝.
The quest for a personal best ⏱️
If you’ve got the soul of a time-chaser, this route is your ideal launchpad. The course is practically flat as a board 🥖, with no hills to break your stride or send your heart rate climbing. On the smooth asphalt of the runway, every watt you put out propels you forward like a plane ready for takeoff ✈️.
