The event in a few words

Hear ye, people of Lyon! The Matmut Stadium de Gerland 🏟️ awaits you, not for a rugby match 🏉 but for a race. An afterwork at the Stadium of Gerland you might have done before, but an afterwork running with your colleagues in the Gerland park, that's new! Reserved for companies, it's a chance to expand your LinkedIn network 🤣. So if you and your colleagues are looking for ways to welcome the summer ☀️, we couldn't recommend anything better than "Afterwork Running Lyon". Late May in the evening, Lyon dons a truly pleasant climate, where running becomes a real pleasure 😁. You won't be too hot 🥵, or too cold 🥶, in short, perfect conditions 👌 to exert yourself without becoming exhausted!

The concept is simple: a relay race of 5 km per person, reserved for companies 💼. Practically speaking, each of your colleagues will do the same loop as you in the Gerland park, and you will pass the baton within the lair of LOU (and not wolves 🐺, there shouldn't be any) 😅. No need to be an Olympic athlete, this race is above all designed for fun and enjoying a good time with colleagues away from the office 📁. There's a little twist since the race is timed ⏱️. This means a prize to be won for the champion team ⚡️ that leaves everyone else in the dust. The jokes will fly at the coffee machine on Monday morning ☕️. But remember, the aim is to build the team, not create tensions, so no stress! If some aren't too familiar with the south of Lyon, know that the Gerland park 🌳 is as flat as a pancake 🥞. No sadistic inclines to wreck your legs 🍗 after an already busy day, nor tricky descents. You'll be pounding the pavement in the shade of trees, amidst nature, as the sunset 🌇 gently leads you into the night 🌙. And indeed, this night promises surprises: a meal with quality local products and a DJ to set the mood 🎶. It will be a change from the mundane beginning of the week meeting, believe us! We've told you, no stress: Afterwork Running Lyon is meant to help you unwind. It's time to take it easy at work and put your foot down elsewhere... on the dance floor, for example! 🕺

Well, normally Lyon will hold no secrets for most participants 🤫, but we must still suggest a couple of spots to discover at night for a digestive stroll after the event 🌃. The timeless classic is the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière with its breathtaking view over all of Lyon. Some might have visited it by day, but by night, it's a whole different atmosphere 😍. You can climb up by funicular 🚞 and gently walk down to relax your legs 🦵 before heading back to the Vieux Lyon. Want to extend your evening by the water? 💧 Stroll along the banks of the Rhône to head back to the city center, where the barges host trendy restaurants and wild parties. Finally, you could end your evening on the lively terraces of the Place des Terreaux or at the bar on the rooftop of the Opera House. Yes, it's not the most obvious combination, but the people of Lyon love it! If you and your colleagues are staying the weekend in Lyon and have a bit more time on your hands, go on and discover the Lyon bouchons and their legendary specialties: salade lyonnaise, quenelles, the melting Saint-Marcellin 🧀, the bugnes, and the praluline

So, ready to trade your suit or dress 🤵 for a pair of running shoes 👟 and set Gerland on fire?
