No blah blah here, it needs to be dynamic! ๐ช The AlbaTrail in Alban, in the Tarn, is a true celebration of trail running, and for the 10th edition, the organizers challenge you for a good cause! Besides setting a nice goal early in February for the season's start, you're doing a good deed: โฌ2 per registration are donated to the "Imagine for Margo" association, which funds research and improves the daily lives of children with cancer ๐ซถ. During the AlbaTrail, you'll engage in a double battle โ๏ธ: one for the children and another against the muddy trails and the stubborn branches of the forest ๐ณ.
But how many kilometers will you be ready to fight? ๐ 7 different events are available starting from the rugby stadium in Alban ๐: a relaxed walk or Nordic of 8.5 km or 11 km for Sunday athletes who wish to stay in non-timed mode โฑ๏ธ, the "AlbaTrailhounet" of 8 km and 250 mD+ (a cute little trail) and the "AlbaTrailhou" of 14 km and 500 mD+ (a bit less cute ๐ฌ). After that, the events aren't cute at all, but then again, everyone has their own taste! ๐ The "AlbaTrail," the one, the only, is a long trail of 26 km and 1,300 mD+, which will either get trail runners back on their feet or temporarily take away their usage ๐ฆต. For the sharpest calves: there is something even more intense! ๐คช The big boss of the event is called "AlbaTor" (yes, yes, like the space pirate ๐): 61 km for 2,900 mD+! This trail has the potential to fascinate you as much as the animated superhero, but you'll be the protagonist of the race... ๐ค Of which you will successfully complete (oh yes, like Albator, you always complete your missions) ๐. Whatever the distance you choose, you'll become a hero of running! ๐ฆธโโ๏ธ Because yes, you too will have your first fans: the children! After cheering you on all day, future budding trail runners will also have their moment of glory ๐.
Hey hey hey, stay here, rest isn't right now โผ๏ธ. Since 10 years deserves a celebration, let's celebrate it and it'll be better with you! We know that after a race, a good meal is all we ask for ๐ฒ. Request heard, and on the menu for the evening, a banquet is prepared by chef Yoan Camps ๐งโ๐ณ. For your personal info, he is certified "master restaurateur" and trail runner, not bad at all ๐คฉ. In addition, he has prepared a menu that's not to be missed: garbure cooked on-site, Roquefort cheese, Alps Durance apples and surprise individual dessert ๐! And stay a bit longer, because the night is just starting. They don't do things halfway, they'll also make you dance all night ๐. A musical evening is organized and will be hosted by "les Valpares"! Everything is set to have a great time ๐.
After so much effort, enjoy the Occitanie region! ๐ You won't risk getting bored in the Valley of Tar, in the Monts de l'Albigeoi and Monts d'Alban, Greschny's frescoes, the priory of Ambialet, the churches, or the Peninsula of Ambialet, you can stretch your legs properly and learn more about the area ๐ค. To visit another city, just take a short drive to discover the beautiful Albi! ๐ If the walk worked up your appetite, feel free to visit the local market ๐ฅฌ. You can taste regional specialties like bougnette, fritons, cheese washed with artisan chestnut beer, or sweet Gaillac wine... and many other delights! ๐
Start the trail season gently with the AlbaTrail ๐.
