Ready to conquer the pavement? 💥 The Terrassa International Half Marathon Barcelona is waiting for you! Start right in the heart ❤️ of Catalonia and through its lively streets 🪅. Whether you choose the popular Santi Centelles race of 5 km for a quick challenge or opt for the half marathon, this city nestled near the Catalan capital: Barcelona, will give you a memorable experience surrounded by running enthusiasts 🏃 (like you), during an event with an international dimension 🌍. That’s impressive! 😎
Terrassa? It's a charming little city 🥰 located next to the second-largest metropolis inSpain 🇪🇸. Come in the month of February ❄️ and discover its picturesque neighborhoods, while treading through the Barcelona suburbs... The Barcelona Terrassa International Half Marathon is a 100% urban race that welcomes runners from all backgrounds every year! 😲 Yes, this race has also welcomed quite a few big names. It often serves as a pre-season race for the elites ⚡️. But wouldn't that be logical? Well, let us tell you the secret of this highly valued race... And it is none other than its tendency for PB, no doubt about it! 🤫 With its flat paved route, and its slight downhill, this half is conducive to a personal record! ⏱️ That's rather good news because whether you're elite or amateur, you'll have the chance to run on the Catalan ground, while enjoying nearly 21 km: a real treat 😋. Speaking of treats, we've heard that it will go far beyond your strides... Catalans, they know how to have fun and bite into life tapas and all 😛, so don't be surprised if at your refreshment you find nougats or even pieces of old oranges 🍊.
After crossing the finish line 🏁, take the time to discover the region's wonders. In less than an hour by car 🚗, explore vibrant Barcelona and its iconic ramblas or be dazzled by the majestic Sagrada Familia 🏛️. For your legs that have worked hard 🦵, we recommend relaxing in the thermal baths of Caldes de Monbuit 💦, a few minutes by car from Terrassa 😉. These baths date back to antiquity and are renowned worldwide for their therapeutic benefits... It would be silly to miss out, wouldn't it? 😌 To continue building muscles, this time we focus on the brain 🧠: visit the Museum of Science and Technology of Catalonia to keep learning and make your runner's head grow 🤓. And if you are passionate about history, don't miss the visit to the famous Monastery of Sant Cugat ⛪️ located nearby. Craving for nature to reconnect to essentials at the end of your stay? The Sant Llorenç natural park won't disappoint with its breathtaking landscapes 💨.
Vale! May the adventure begin and may each step bring you closer to your PB! 🏅
Great! A half in a single loop 🔂 is a great challenge, isn't it? Let's go! 😉
You start on the Rambla d'Ègara heading north ⬆️ of the city to reach the Museum of Science and Technology of Catalonia! Once there you continue along the Riera Del Palau 💧 for some refreshment during the odyssey. Head onto the Avenue de l'Abat Marcet. Here you'll enjoy yourself: this is where you encounter the slight downhill... 😛 But be careful to keep some energy for the rest of the race! ⚠️ Oh yes, the race doesn't end there my friend. Once at the end of the avenue, follow the watercourse of the Riera de les Arenes, cross the Vallparadis Park 🌳 going up to the Placeta de la Creu ⛲️ to return safely. There you go, mission accomplished 🤪.
Embark on an explosive 5 km! 😎 You start on the Rambla d'Ègara heading north ⬆️ of the city to reach the Passeig del Vint-i-dos de Juliol. Here, you will head starboard ➡️ to the Vallparadis Garden 🌳. Turn around, retrace the same path and finish where it all started 🏁.
