The event in a few words

"Look at his pace, he rides like crazy"

With legendary routes, the GranFondo Colnago Mont Ventoux repeats 🙌. The Giant of Provence, the star of the race, plays along to offer you its crazy paths and landscapes 💐. One thing is sure, you'll definitely find a distance you like because we provide both fun and challenge 💪. Between vineyards and mountains, starting from Vaison-la-Romaine, you'll have 3 gravel races and 3 cyclosportives 🥾. Everything takes place in June, under the beautiful Provençal sun, in the PACA region in the south of Vaucluse ☀️. Pack your gear but not too much, they're not shy with the gifts: free jerseys, energy provisions ⚡️, and quality refreshments, so lucky! 🎁

A hike, a weekend, in the sun, on your Gravel: PER-FECT. All you have to do is decide whether your gravel race will be sooner or later 📏. Let's go step by step, first: 47 km and 855 mD+. "La virade romaine" doesn't have a summit in view, but rather the AOC Ventoux vineyards 🍇, accompanied by the region's typical villages. Next, we offer "Braquet et Dentelles AOC Ventoux". 78 km to cross the gates of the Massif des Dentelles and the Comtat plain 🏞️, for a course with 1,610 mD+. After that, we go past the 100 and 2,000 mark, for 103 km and 2,000 mD+, no more jokes... 😬 "La grande escapade AOC Ventoux" will give you a nice discovery of the dentelles de Montmirail and the Drôme plains ✨.

Others won't joke much for the rest and will be playing the clock ⏱️. This time we start with the longest distance: 135 km and 3,200 mD+, we warned you we don't joke much anymore 🙂‍↕️. "Le Granfondo", as you might have guessed, will be on the legendary Mont Ventoux climb 🗻. Hats off in advance to all those who finish it because it will be a legendary effort 🤩. "Le mediofondo" will also take you to the Ventoux summit but from Sault ➡️. Be careful, the ascent is more accessible, but still very demanding for a course of 106 km and 2,600 mD+ ⚠️. We end the timed races with "le Picolofondo", a course of 80 km and 2,135 mD+ 📈. As with the previous race, the climb will be via Sault, with the intended purpose: to be at the Mont Ventoux summit ⭐️.

Riding a bike in the region lets you discover, yes, but not enough 🚴 and then, seeing the surroundings, you'll only want to extend this weekend and explore the region as you should 🤌. There are plenty of villages, all dreamy of that Provençal life 🌷. You know, the one where you have a nice stone house with the sound of cicadas in the background 🦗. Vaison-la-Romaine, Séguret, Malaucène… We're sure that if you pass by the real estate agencies 🏢, you'll take a peek at the deals to be had 👀. Walks in the fresh nature are also ideal to enjoy 🤩. You'll find lavender fields as far as the eye can see 🪻 and landscapes ranging from plains to mountains. Since this region thinks of everything, it also has a gastronomy that's totally good 👌. The Cavaillon melon, the sweet delight of the surroundings, will surely satisfy you 🟠. There are also the strawberries, oh yes, the Carpentras strawberries 🍓, you won’t find anything tastier. Full of natural and healthy things 🤪. Well, there's also the Montélimar nougat, which will make a good 4 PM snack 🕓.

Get out your best Gravel, prepare your legs, and put Vaison-la-Romaine on your GPS, let's go! 🚵‍♂️

4 reasons to join this race

Dream-like refreshments 💭
The Grandfondo Colnago Mont-Ventoux knows everyone loves refreshments, so they have gone all out ⭐️. By using containers, the refreshments are sturdy, of high quality, and very well-stocked 🤪. A savory side, a sweet side, and water fountains to minimize plastic bottles! 🚰 Not to forget the energy supplies handed out the day before ✅ and other gels that will be available at certain refreshment points ⚡️.
One among many 📋
The Granfondo Colnago Mont Ventoux is a magnificent event, but it's not the only one 😃. It is part of the GF Series Colnago, which gathers various iconic cycling races 👌. Their goal: to let the enthusiasts enjoy the surroundings of Mont Ventoux ⛰️, the roads of Protestant Occitane and the Luberon Pays d’Apt 📍.
Around the giant of Provence 🙃
We know it for its beauty and its perfect paths for cycling enthusiasts 🚴‍♂️, but it hides even more! 🤫 In 1882, the summit was chosen to set up a national meteorological observatory 🌦️. It was used until the beginning of World War I when its activity ceased 🛑. In 2016, the Syndicat Mixte d’Aménagement et d’Equipement du Mont-Ventoux (SMAEMV) reinstalled sensors to analyze the climate at the top of this giant 🎥.
A unique landscape 🙌
For all routes, the PACA region welcomes you in its most beautiful nature 🌻. Provence, a must-see place in the south, offers you roads and trails amidst panoramas that will surely leave an impression 😍. On the list: lavender fields, vineyards, plains, mountains, viewpoints… 🪻

Organizer's message:

"We've had 2 marriage proposals in a row at the summit of Mont Ventoux. Who's up for the third?"

The start will be from Vaison-la-Romaine, near the vineyard of Cave la Romaine 📍. Heading towards Puyméras and Mollans-sur-Ouvèze, you will start to follow the Ouvèze, the beautiful local river 💧. Once crossed, you will climb the col de Fontaube at km 31 and the col d'Aires, 4 km later. Both will remind you why you trained with elevation 🫠, because we assure you that their climbs will make your legs burn 🔥. Descending you will join Brantes and Savoillan, before a first refreshment at km 42

Afterward, you will cross the Toulourenc and head towards the col de l’Homme mort at km 59, which will take you to an altitude of 1,213 m 📈, it’s no small feat! Descend to Sault, with km 72 offering a good refreshment 🍎, to gather strength before the final challenge. Where others will head towards the summit, you continue to circumvent the giant 🗻, towards the Gorges de la Nesque 🏞️. Once you have crossed them, you will gently approach the much-awaited climb 🙃. Passing through various vineyards, you will reach Saint-colombe 🍇, where energy will be at maximum capacity at the refreshment station at km 118.

The climb of Mont-Ventoux is here and we hope you are ready to take it on ⚡️. You will climb like crazy up to km 131, where a refreshment awaits you 🍫. Yes, this one, we know you dreamed of it given what you just climbed 🤪. But don't rest too long and stay strong, you have a few kilometers left before the finish line 🏅.
