In March, it's time for another round (of wheels) 🚴. Mount your steed and test yourself against the mountains of Brittany during the GravelMan Breizh St-Malo! 🌊
This year, end winter beautifully by taking a deep breath of fresh air along the Emerald Coast and Goëlo ⛱️. This edition, part of the GravelMan Series, aims to be 100% Brittany 🥨 and salted butter. 10 routes are offered to discover the Land of Legends in all its glory. Between gravel and road biking, you will surely find the distance of your dreams, in your preferred discipline 🫵.
The GravelMan races are a well-organized affair. With almost 10 races (and 10 times more courses) organized each year, we assure you the engine runs smoothly ⚙️. Created in 2025, the Saint-Malo circuit has met with great success and returns again this year to prove its worth 💪. If you're sure you’re up for the challenge, here's what we have to offer: 5 gravel courses and 5 road bike courses, with identical distances and a progressive elevation gain depending on the events 📈. Let’s introduce them gently: the shortest distance is 60 km, featuring just under 900 mD+. Between land and sea, write the beginning of your cycling story 🚲. If you are already a regular cyclist and pedal strokes are part of your daily routine, align yourself rather on the 120 km or 200 km. We don’t say it will be cakewalk 🍰, but we assure you won't return disappointed from the journey. The 1,500 mD+ and 2,000 mD+ specific to each course will give you the impression of being misplaced in another county 😳. Brittany is not the Alps, but you'll learn the hard way that it's much more hilly than one imagines 🤪. Finally, for our heroes, it's time for the formats of extreme. These courses are intended for those who took the name "Land of Legends" literally and want to be part of it 🤦♂️. The silver medal goes to the 350 km and 3,500 mD+ 🥈 course. To give an example, it's 5 times the distance between the beautiful city of Rennes and Saint-Malo, just that... But as we said, we've found something even crazier: 500 km and 5,000 mD+. The rest will be well-deserved 😴, it will be necessary. Feel free to motivate your training partner: this kind of event always goes faster in pairs 🤝.
Once you cross the finish line, put away your handlebars and take out the cutlery 🍴. We won't teach you anything, but Brittany is famous for its culinary specialties and gourmet recipes. From salted butter caramel, through galettes, to the famous Kouign-Amann, here every dish is sacred 🙏. Even the absentees will be happy when you bring them a little gift basket. For everyone, you'll be a star both on the sporting and taste front 😎. As for scenery, deepen your day's discoveries by strolling through the dense and lush forests you'll find in the region. To name just a few, the Forest of Quénécan 🌳, the Forest of Paimpont, and the Forest of Guerche 🍃 are among the largest in the area and will leave you plenty of space to go mushroom hunting 🍄. If you feel in a more aquatic mood than a terrestrial one, head to the coast and enjoy the roads along the shoreline. If you drive a bit, you'll reach the Cliffs of Étretat in less than 4 hours, which is truly a unique place to see 🤩. We agree there's a bit of a drive, but hey, you've just spent over 10 or 20 hours on a bike, so it's not a few minutes by car that will scare you off, right? 🚗 On the way, you can also stop at the mythical Mont St-Michel, overlooking the Norman bay. With sport, scenery, good food, and history, there’s definitely something for everyone in Brittany (and in Normandy)!
So, ready to cover a few kilometers and take a few kilos photos? 📸 The GravelMan Breizh St-Malo awaits you early spring and has quite the surprises in store 😮.
This 350 km route requires quite a bit of training. The route is very engaging and alternates between the seaside, fields and classic Breton ambiance. For more details, you'll have to wait to receive the map 🗺️.
Although it represents double the distance of its counterpart the 60 km, this course is quite well-designed for getting started in the discipline 🚲. The trails remain accessible and without major technical sections 😉. You'll cross the finish line before you even realize how time has flown by 😳.
The smallest of the GravelMan courses available 📦. An ideal format to start with GravelMan featuring accessible routes and limited elevation gain ✅. We can assure you that the atmosphere will always be there, no matter the distance chosen 🥳.
