The event in a few words

Kenavo (goodbye in Breton) to the couch—time to shift into the big ring! 🌊

If you think Brittany is smooth sailing, it’s because you’ve never set your tires on a GravelMan Series. For this edition starting from Brest, in Finistère, we’re taking you on a fully self-supported adventure where your best friend will be your GPS (and maybe a tube of anti-chafing cream 😬). On the menu: several formats out in full nature to suit everyone, from the tarmac addict to the dust purist: Gravel (obviously), but also Road for those who love pure speed 🚀.

The distances are no token gesture, with routes of 60 km, 120 km, 200 km, 350 km and, for the boldest, 500 km. Oh yes—no messing around here 🤓. It’s time to see whether your calves are as solid as the ramparts of the city. You’ll ride through postcard landscapes: seaside, hills, towns...

The terrain profile? It’s a bit like a crêpe that’s been folded every which way: it goes up, it goes down, and it never stops. You’ll discover a route that smells of sea spray and damp earth, with elevation gain that will remind you that “flat” is a word that doesn’t exist in the Breton dictionary 💦. On the culture side, get ready to live your own remake of L'Équipée sauvage, but with a bike helmet and a breathtaking view over the Rade de Brest 😍. You’ll cross wild landscapes where the wind will be either your greatest ally or your worst nightmare... But hey, you don’t really get to choose, and that’s part of the game! 🎰

The GravelMan Series vibe is above all about freedom. Here, no tight peloton and no aid station on every street corner; you’re alone with your choices, your effort, and the raw beauty of the region ✨. It’s an experience that brings together enthusiasts who aren’t afraid to end up with a little (a lot) of mud on their bib shorts 🩳. Between pedal strokes, you might even be lucky enough to spot the legendary lighthouses standing guard over the Atlantic coast, putting on a show you never get tired of—even when your legs start to burn for real.

And because life isn’t just about fresh water and gearing, the area is packed with little gems for your taste buds and your eyes 👀. Once your journey is over, we recommend heading straight to the Capucins district to admire the view, or getting lost in the lanes around the Château de Brest. For active recovery (meaning: eating), don’t skip the Kouign-amann, the only cake in the world capable of clogging an artery just by looking at it, or a good galette-saucisse down at the harbor ⚓️. And above all, the very best—the cherry on top: slices of bread with salted butter! It’s the official fuel of the Breton cyclist, tested and approved by generations of locals ⛽️.

Check your tire pressure, your inner tube and your derailleur, and come show Brest that you’re hot like Breizh! 🔥

4 reasons to join this race

The end of the world as your garden 💐
Setting off from Brest means treating yourself to an epic playground where the land ends to make way for the vastness of the Atlantic 🌊. You’ll pedal along trails where the horizon seems endless. It’s the perfect setting to switch off and feel truly small in the face of the elements. A visual experience well worth a few aches and pains 💛.
Self-sufficiency, the real deal🧍
Here, no assistance—it's up to you to manage your pace, your sleep and your navigation. It’s the ultimate challenge to test your mental and physical limits far from the usual comfort of classic races. You’ll quickly learn that knowing how to fix a chain in the rain is a vital skill 🛠️.
A heritage that really delivers 🏛️
Between the sentinel lighthouses and the parish enclosures, the route is a true open-air history lesson. You’ll ride through granite villages where time seems to have stopped. It’s a chance to see Brittany from an angle tourist guides often forget 🏰.
The headwind record 💨
If there’s one local specialty, it’s the wind! You’ll have the unique opportunity to test your aerodynamic endurance over kilometers. People often say that in Brittany, the wind shifts so it’s always a headwind: time to check the legend 🚴.
