The event in a few words

In Paris on a bike, we overtake the cars 🎶

Joe Dassin predicted your future challenge: the IDF Gravel Festival 🚲. This event is two days of riding and partying in Île-de-France 📍. In September, get your two-wheeler ready for a craaaazy journey in Étampes, near Paris🗼. Don’t worry, this adventure takes place in the heart of nature 🌿, not on Parisian cobblestones 😮‍💨. So you’ll be overtaking more cows than cars 🚘.

Whether you’re bike-crazy or a leisurely-ride lover, the IDF Gravel Festival is here to satisfy every appetite 🍽️. 3 distances are on the menu. If you’ve got a big appetite, you can choose to complete the 100 km route. With technical sections 📉, flat paths and idyllic forest tracks, this course will win you over 😍. You can also cut down the kilometers and go for 70 or 35 km. During your epic, you’ll pass through typical villages like Morigny-Champigny, Bouville, Puiselet le Marais, Champmotteux, Brouy, Roinvilliers or even Boissy la Rivière 💧. All these little villages are the heart of France, with their narrow streets, their churches and their period castles 🏰. And in the end, no matter which distance you choose: you’ll ride through French heritage, chat with other participants, and push yourself in the varied and picturesque landscapes of the Étampes area.

Once you’ve properly sobered up pedaled, set down your bags 🧳. The Île-de-France region has plenty of surprises for you 🎁. First, you can head to Paris, because you never get tired of the beauty of the City of Light 🫶. Go see the Eiffel Tower, explore the Louvre Museum, stroll around Montmartre... and overtake cars full speed on your Gravel 💨. If you’re more team rural escape, you can stay around Étampes📍. If you like history, you’re in the right place! This town has 26 listed monuments, like its Town Hall, its theater, the Saint-Martin Church or the Anne-de-Pisseleu Mansion 🏰. And the gastronomy? Top-notch! 😋 But our favorite specialty is the Paris-Brest 🧁. Shaped like a bicycle wheel, this cake was invented in 1910 at the request of the organizer of the Paris-Brest cycling race—simple as that! 💡

So, ready to put down the watts? 🔥
