Sporty Paris

Paris, the City of Light, the city of love, the city of runners. It’s time for you to come for a spin in the capital. Whether you’re on the Left Bank or the Right Bank, the Seine quays and the climbs of the Parc des Buttes-Chaumont are waiting for you! You’ll see—running in the 75 is awesome!

Paris is perfectly suited to sporty strolls. In the 75, sport is a religion. On the home turf of PSG in football and handball, Stade Français and Roland Garros, you too can become a star through running.

Before starting a more advanced trail in the city, you can begin by warming up in the Parc Rives de Seine, on its 7 km fitness route. The Eiffel Tower rises in the Champ de Mars, a park that will offer you lovely paths to run in a pleasant atmosphere. The wide avenues of the Tuileries Garden, between the Louvre and Concorde metro stations or along the Seine, are also very inspiring places. The Parc Rives de Seine has a 100-meter track, the best-known of athletics races. Paris doesn’t have enough green landscapes to run in ? A cliché! You can enjoy a great Nordic walk along the Coulée verte, in the 12th arrondissement. Its 4 km of suspended greenery offer a magical setting for you, coming here to breathe a bit of air away from the frantic pace of the capital. Another option is to go to the Jardin des Plantes, a small green haven ideal for a bucolic jog. We also recommend other spots: the Canal de l'Ourcq (you can head up as far as the 93), the Martin Luther King urban park, the one at Monceau (not the biggest 🤏), the Luxembourg Garden (very central), or the one at George Brassens. It’s time for the eternal debate... Are the Bois de Vincennes and Bois de Boulogne part of Paris 🤷‍♀️? Apparently yes, if we go by Google Maps boundaries 😉. Either way, they’re exceptional places to train, summer and winter alike! Besides, a little quirk of Paris: the weather—you’ll sometimes need to be well equipped, because it’s not for nothing that Paris and Grey skies (+ rain) rhyme 🤣.

Want to challenge the clock? In the 75, people are lining up to come and test themselves. You too will love being one of the 50,000 people who registered to run the Paris Marathon. Want more races! You can choose between running the 20 km de Paris, the Half Marathon, the Château de Vincennes race. If you’re looking for 10Ks, in Paris, there’s no shortage.10 km des Étoiles, the Adidas 10K Paris, the 10 km du Trocadero, the 10 km de la Tour Eiffel, or the Run Set & Match at Roland Garros. Media coverage is guaranteed—ideal for your quest for glory and beauty!

On top of your races, you’ll need to set up a real schedule if you want to visit the capital! In Paris, it’s one visit every 4 seconds! You can choose between gaining altitude by visiting the Eiffel Tower or having your eyes dazzled at the Louvre Museum. Impossible not to finish one of your routes in the streets of Montmartre, steeped in history with the Sacré-Cœur, its famous steps and its bohemian atmosphere. You can also treat yourself and run across the most beautiful avenue in the world, the Champs Elysées, and believe you’re at the finish of the Tour de France.

Feeling a bit peckish? To reward your efforts, you can choose between the famous croque-monsieur, a good onion soup, and of course, for dessert, a delicious macaron. Be careful not to be too cliché either by eating your baguette with a beret on your head—you’re not in the Emily in Paris series !

Don’t wait 107 years—dream bigger. Running in Paris is magical!
