We know it: as soon as the days get shorter, you’re less visible on the road 👻.
To put visibility back at the heart of your daily trips, the Prévention Routière association invites you in October in Paris for Light & Vision – The Race 🏃♀️. A committed event that lights up the beautiful City of Light every autumn 💡. It is part of the national “Light & Vision” campaign, designed to remind you of a simple reflex: see well and be seen when night falls earlier ⌚️. An issue far from trivial: half of pedestrians killed each year die between October and January 🗓️. This autumn, come and carry an essential message: being visible on the road can save lives! 💝 By taking part, you support a public-interest mission that works to prevent risks linked to traffic, especially when visibility decreases at night 🌙. Your commitment enables the association to fund its national campaigns and to raise awareness among all generations about the right reflexes on the road, especially in the face of night-time dangers 🌕.
The meeting point is on Pont Louis-Philippe, where an activity village awaits to raise your awareness while you have fun 🙃. If you’re more the type who likes timed challenges, the Night Urban Trail of 10 km is made for you 🫵. You’ll run along the Seine riverbanks as night falls, You’ll run along the Seine riverbanks as night falls, in a unique night-time setting 😻. The course is a real urban playground with stairs, bridges, and an ultra-privileged passage through the Jardin des Tuileries 🌳. Your final ranking won’t depend only on your legs : your time will be converted into points and added to the scores you earn at the village stands 📍.
For those who prefer a more accessible adventure but just as fun, the Multimodal Rally takes you on a different way to discover Paris 🧩. Here, no stopwatch: everyone moves at their own pace. On foot, by bike, on a scooter, on rollerblades, on a skateboard, or even on an electric unicycle 🛹, make your way to stages spread across Paris. Awareness stands await you there with challenges and riddles to solve so you can have fun while learning the right visibility and road-safety reflexes 🦺. The more points you collect, the more you increase your chances of winning the rally 🥇. Fun and informative, the route helps you understand concretely that the road is shared and that visibility concerns all road users 🚲.
Between sport, prevention, and togetherness, you’ll leave with memories full of your head and, above all, the certainty of being clearly seen by everyone 👀.
The only timed race of the event promises to be unforgettable! The start is given on the lower quays, just beneath the Louis-Philippe bridge. Flat but punctuated by stairs and cobblestone sections, the route follows the Seine quays and passes through the famous Tuileries Garden. Enjoy this crossing of one of the most emblematic parks in the capital, because the Lumière & Vision race is the only one to offer it to its participants! 😍 Specific course marking and marshals guide you throughout the route 🔦. Off you go—small, quick strides—and you’ll soon be back at the Louis-Philippe bridge, where the finish will be decided.
A challenge to have fun as a family! A challenge to experience as a family! 👨👩👧 Bike, scooter, rollerblades, skateboard, self-balancing scooter, walking or running: at each stop along the route, answer the questions, take on the challenges and rack up as many points as possible before reaching the finish line on the Louis-Philippe bridge 🏁. Here, there are no arrows: you choose the order of the stages and move around independently, in compliance with traffic rules, thanks to the recommended routes depending on your mode of travel 🧭. As a team (up to six), everyone stays on the same type of path—pedestrian area or bike lane—and the podium is decided across two rankings: pedestrians on one side, bikes and personal mobility devices on the other 🏆.
The multimodal route is open to children, who can take part on bikes, scooters, rollerblades, etc. You can even participate with your stroller! 💪 Under-14s always ride accompanied by an adult, and motorized vehicles such as electrically assisted bicycles are only accessible from the age of 14 🧒.
