At the start of November, lace up your best shoes and steel yourself, because we’re waiting for you at the Bois de Vincennes, one of the “green lungs of Paris" 🌬️. The event in the works goes far beyond a simple time (anyway, there isn’t one)🌳. Faster than Cancer isn’t an ordinary competition, but a huge surge of solidarity making a strong comeback in Île-de-France 📍. After a few years of absence and editions that were digital only, the race is returning to the Parisian pavement for a new edition that promises to be memorable 💭. No need to have a shiny pair of shoes or be a running pro—there’s definitely a bib for you here 🫵. The goal? To push the disease back, stride after stride, in an atmosphere where kindness is the only golden rule 💛.
Forget personal glory and think instead of a cause that touches all of us, directly or indirectly 🎀. You’ll need to turn physical effort into real, tangible support. You can choose between three distances accessible to everyone: 2 km, 5 km or 10 km 🏃♀️. In person, the commitment is total, since registration comes with a fundraising campaign of a minimum of €150 💰. Go on—ask your loved ones, your colleagues, or even your baker to help fund research, prevention and support for patients; we’re sure they’ll be on board! 🔥 For those who can’t make it to the capital, no excuses! 😆 The challenge is also available in a digital version for two weeks, after the in-person event 📍. That way, all of France can rally from their garden or their favorite forest 🌲. As Leïla says so well—she for whom the race was a true outlet during her treatments—we run to give stronger meaning to our effort 🏃.
The setting of the Bois de Vincennes offers the ideal backdrop for this kind of gathering 🙃. Between the wooded paths and the fresh autumn air, you’ll quickly forget you’re at the gates of the French capital 🇫🇷. No impossible elevation gain here—the course is fairly flat, which lets you focus on what matters: sharing 🫂. The atmosphere will be ensured by a village open to everyone, with food trucks to refuel, fun activities and prevention stands to get informed without taboo 📚. The moment will be filled with pure conviviality, where every participant carries a story, a tribute, or a message of hope on their back 💝.
After your dose of endorphins and your share of congratulations, you’re perfectly placed to enjoy the surroundings 👀. Head to the Château de Vincennes for a little dose of history and a royal finish-line photo in front of the moat 👑. If your legs are asking for a break, a post-race stroll around Lac Daumesnil is the perfect remedy to avoid next-day stiffness 🥵. If the effort has made you hungry, take advantage of the nearby bistros of eastern Paris for a well-deserved race debrief 😋. But the best gift after the race is that feeling of having been useful ✨. On your way home, you’ll know your kilometers will turn into local action, because the funds are distributed by the departmental committees 😌.
We promise you a wonderful day that will end with a light heart and slightly heavy legs—but that’s just part of the job! 🔥
Ready to discover the Bois de Vincennes while running? On a 10 km course, you’re about to take a lovely whirl through the woods.
Starting from the north of the park, you’ll head toward the Gravère stream, before running alongside it 💦. Once at the Carrefour de la Patte d'oie you’ll make your way back up toward the north, all the way to the Route Royale de Beauté at km 7—it’s going to be something! 😍 For the last 3 kilometers, you’ll loop back south before heading back up toward the Carnot neighborhood.
After these ten or so kilometers, you’ll have plenty to be proud of! 🎀
5 km, no more, no less 🙌. Starting from the north of the Bois de Vincennes, you'll head down to the south of the woods for 3 km, before reaching the edge of the park, then climb back up toward the Carnot district.
Hats off, artist, the loop is done—you can head back with peace of mind 🧘♀️.
1 km and 2 km, that's all—quick and effective 🙃. All you have to do is take a lap near the Carnot district, cross the finish line, and the challenge will be accepted! ✅
