The event in a few words

RunForestRun Indian Summer Ultra is an extraordinary race in the Dutch province of Drenthe, which completely breaks the stereotype of a flat, asphalted country.

The course is 95% made up of wild, unpaved paths, leading through spectacular heathlands shimmering with autumn colors in Drentsche Aa National Park and sandy dunes. The organizers have prepared demanding ultra challenges over 50 km, 75 km, and the flagship 100 km, which can be completed solo or as part of a relay team. The race base is usually located near the picturesque Gasselte, offering a brilliant, nature-close atmosphere.

After crossing the finish line and picking up your medal, the green and peaceful province of Drenthe becomes an ideal oasis for recovery. Instead of the city bustle, a mystical history awaits you in the form of the prehistoric Hunebedden dolmens, built from massive glacial boulders. You can loosen tired muscles during a leisurely walk along meandering streams or by relaxing in the saunas of the local cozy guesthouses. The best way to replenish burned calories is with the traditional, hearty Dutch dish stamppot with a solid sausage, and a plate of sweet, fluffy mini pancakes poffertjes, raising a toast to a successful race with a mug of local craft beer.
