Welcome to the starting line of The Great RATP Race of Greater Paris. Before the arrival of the "Grand Paris" 🥖, we offer you a city-to-city race for everyone, an eco-friendly event that will let you discover two facets of the Inner Parisian Suburbs, the Southeast and the North. From the Hippodrome Paris-Vincennes 🌲, to the Place de la République ⛲️, with a finish at the legendary Stade de France 🏟️, you can wander through the streets of Paris and its famous squares in the gentle spring 🌺. This year, the race is back to its original schedule and takes place again in early April, so put on your sneakers and head to Île-de-France ! 😁
Created in 2017, the event offers short distances, like the 5 km Matmut #BornToMove, which will start from Saint-Denis! Otherwise, there's a 10 km, with the start at a popular Parisian spot: the iconic Place de la République! For the more daring, a semi-marathon that connects the Val-de-Marne to the Seine-Saint-Denis, passing through Paris, is also planned. To start on this course, head to the other side of the periphery 🏁. The children 👧 will also be part of it since races are reserved for them. They too can push themselves physically on the renowned purple track of the Stade de France ⚽️. The RATP Race of Greater Paris is above all a committed event on several points. With refreshments made up only of 100% organic products and local, in an anti-waste approach, the event decides to commit to ecology! ♻️ You will also find no plastic bottles 🥤 and all unused refreshments will be entirely redistributed 🙏. But it goes even further because we are also working on the social level. Indeed, wristband donations 🎽 are set up to help the most fragile populations 🤝. So, if you have some clothes you no longer use, don't forget to bring them, it will make someone happy 🥰.
Regarding the course, the organizers have prepared a condensed version of Eastern Paris as we like it 🫶. Between green spaces 🪴 and major arteries often clogged with vehicles 🚗, several must-see sites of the capital will be available to you 🇨🇵. If you are one of the brave ones who embarked on the 21.097 km semi-marathon, you will enjoy refreshing passages during your crossing of the Bois de Vincennes 🐎. Note that this 995-hectare wood is the largest green space in Paris 🌳. Take advantage of this breath of fresh air that will be very useful before traversing the streets of Paris. Because yes, it will subsequently be a flurry of monuments and famous places that you will have the opportunity to discover, just like your peers who started from Place de la République. And that's not all! Your race will be punctuated by animations throughout the course 🎉. The finish 🏁 is breathtaking, within the iconic Stade de France. It is certainly the highlight of the course 🤩. The opportunity to feel like a champion for a few minutes 🚀 in front of the many spectators who will be present in the stands. It will be the time to fully enjoy your arrival in a warm atmosphere! 👏
After a quick tour at the Stade de France, head off to discover the cultural and gastronomic heritage of the Seine-Saint-Denis department 😍. We especially suggest a visit to the Basilica of Saint-Denis and its Gothic architecture ⛪️, a cultural outing at the Air and Space Museum of Le Bourget 🛩, or a trip to the Puces de Saint-Ouen, the largest antiques market in the world. And then, to regain strength after all that, don't hesitate to visit one of the many and famous Parisian brasseries ☕.
Don't hesitate any longer and come rediscover Paris by running on The Great RATP Race of Greater Paris! 🔥
If you want to prepare and test your endurance for a marathon, the half-marathon of The Great Race of Greater Paris is the perfect event for you 💪. With a course without elevation, it's the perfect opportunity to achieve your best time on the distance! ⏱️
The start of the race will be at the famous Bois de Vincennes and more precisely at the Hippodrome de Paris-Vincennes. With its 995 hectares of vegetation, it is indeed the largest park in the Paris metropolitan area 😍. In other words, the organizers offer you a real breath of fresh air over the first 4 km. So let loose and take on the capital 🐎.
You will be able to enjoy the Parisian streets starting with Avenue Saint-Mandé. It's an opportunity to take in the first of three 100% organic refreshments planned along your route! 😁 Then make your way up the 12th and 11th km to relish the second refreshment stop at the 17th km. We know you enjoyed the first one, so this one will not disappoint either. It will give you a boost of energy to continue along your journey and discover the Oberkampf neighborhood, Saint-Ambroise Church, Boulevard Voltaire as well as Rue de la Roquette.
At this point, you will have reached Place de la République and its majestic Statue of Marianne, to rejoin the path of those who did not want to endure the half 😂. The 10th arrondissement opens up to you as you head towards the Rotonde Stalingrad via the banks of the Canal Saint-Martin, where you could potentially cool off with a dip if you overheat 🥵. Or maybe not, as you might get fined 🤪.
Then it's another canal, the Ourcq Canal, that you can admire before reaching Parc de la Villette and the Saint-Denis Canal, for your third refreshment and to finish your Parisian adventure. You have now set foot in Seine-Saint-Denis! If you take your time, go for a small shopping trip at the Millénaire shopping center 🛍.
This will signal the final stretch of your race to enter the mythical Stade de France 🏟, and complete a final lap under the applause of the crowd 👏. There you go, you have completed your 21.097 km.
So, ready for new challenges ? 🏋️♂️
Legendary place in the History of France that has notably hosted many events over time, the Place de la République will be the starting point of the 10 km of La Grande Course du Grand Paris 🏁.
So, it is from the foot of the Statue of Marianne recognizable by her Phrygian cap that you will set off toward northern Paris on a course that is very flat ✌️, perfect for achieving your best time over the distance? ⏱️ You will run through the heart of the 10th arrondissement of Paris and follow the banks of the Canal Saint-Martin toward the Rotonde Stalingrad, well-known for dining and dancing for all Parisians. Head to the Canal de l'Ourcq, yes that's a lot of canals, for a little refreshment 💦, before arriving at the Parc de la Villette and the Canal Saint-Denis 🌳. Take the opportunity to take a deep breath of oxygen to cover the last kilometers of the race under the best conditions 😉.
It will be time to say bye bye Paris, hello Seine-Saint-Denis 🙋♂️. You will start your stay in this area (yes that's what we call the inhabitants of the department 🤓) with a tour at the Millénaire shopping center 🛍️ in Aubervilliers, before heading to the Town Hall. The final stretch of your 10 km, which will lead you to the famous Stade de France 🏟, to complete a final lap under the applause of the crowd gathered for the occasion 👏.
Like Usain Bolt, conquer the most famous tracks in France and achieve the sprint of a lifetime 🏃♂️.
