The event in a few words
Running opens up incredible opportunities... 🤩 Imagine running alongside Lake Annecy, having it all to yourself for a moment—can you picture it? Well, now it's possible thanks to the Brooks Marathon of Lake Annecy! The event will take over the city for a weekend at the end of April 🌄. It's the perfect time to enjoy the sun and spring warmth! 💐 So, lace up your sneakers 👟, grab your socks, and put on your sunglasses 🕶️, because an exciting adventure awaits you ⏲️.
The association behind the Brooks Marathon of Lake Annecy 🏃➡️ is Annecy Haute Savoie Athlétisme 😁. They've been organizing the race since 1980 😯, which means they have tons of experience, don't you think? 😉 This year, the novelty is the involvement of the brand Brooks, which brings its running expertise to AHSA. You can expect top-notch organization 🫸, accustomed to excitement 🤯. Speaking of excitement, in Annecy📍, be ready for an emotional rollercoaster: motivating, slightly stressful, but most importantly, unique feelings that running brings 🤗.
Participants can choose from four races to join the celebration 🤟. The first, no introduction needed, is the marathon 👑. A slightly different marathon as it features a round-trip! ➰ Runners will turn around at Doussard 🤓. Like all other event races 😜, the marathon is very flat, making it a great opportunity to set a record 🚀. Then, there's a half-marathon, also a round-trip ➿. The organization also offers a 10 km and a 5 km🤠. These distances are perfect for beginners testing the waters in an official race 👶 or for seasoned runners aiming to beat their personal records 🏆. Even kids get in on the fun with a 750-meter youth race 🤏. And for those who prefer to take their time and enjoy the scenery 👀, there's a Nordic walk 🚶♀️➡️. With so many events 🙌, there's truly no excuse: there's bound to be a format that's just right for you 👉.
Beyond the athletic aspect 🏋️, it's the stunning setting of Annecy that truly stands out 🖼️. Running by the lake 🚣, amidst the mountains ⛰️, with countless supporters along the roads 👯♂️, because the ambiance in Annecy is always festive! 🥳 As you can see, this race offers plenty of perks... ❤️ After the race, why not stay a few days in the Venice of the Alps 🎭? Discover the city differently, minus the race day rush 🧘, and enjoy the tranquility of the surrounding nature 🏞️. There's lots to do based on your interests 🥰. Consider a trip to the Col de la Forclaz, where breathtaking sunsets await, almost touching the stars! 🌟 And don't forget to indulge in some local cuisine 🍽️, as this is the perfect place to treat yourself to raclette 🧀, tartiflette 🫕, and fondue—a true culinary delight 😋.
In short, participating in the Brooks Marathon of Lake Annecy is more than just a race 🏁—it's an experience 🤪. Share moments of camaraderie 🫶, and solidarity with loved ones 👪 and fellow runners throughout the weekend 😘.
So, the Brooks Marathon of Lake Annecy is waiting for you! 🙏
