Running offers quite amazing opportunities... 🤩 Running along the Lake Annecy, having it all to yourself for a moment, can you imagine? Well, it's now possible thanks to the Brooks Marathon of Lake Annecy! The event will take over the city for a weekend at the end of April 🌄. It's the perfect time to enjoy the sun and spring warmth! 💐 So put on your sneakers 👟, your socks, and your sunglasses 🕶️, because an incredible program awaits you ⏲️.
The association behind the Brooks Marathon of Lake Annecy 🏃➡️, is Annecy Haute Savoie Athlétisme 😁. They've been organizing the race since 1980 😯, which gives them a lot of experience, doesn't it? 😉 This year, the novelty is that the brand Brooks brings its running expertise to AHSA. So, you can count on a top-notch event 🫸, accustomed to excitement 🤯. And speaking of excitement, we can assure you that at Annecy 📍, you will experience a lot of emotions: the ones that motivate you 😍, stress you a little 🥵, but most importantly, those unique emotions that running provides 🤗.
Participants will have a choice between four races to join the celebration 🤟. The first race, we don't really need to introduce it anymore: it's the marathon 👑. A marathon that's a bit special because it takes the form of a round trip! ➰ Runners will turn around at Doussard 🤓. The marathon, like all other event races 😜, is very flat, so it might be an opportunity to aim for a record 🚀. Next, there's a semi-marathon, also in a round trip ➿. Then, the organization also offers a 10 km and a 5 km🤠. These distances are perfect for those wanting a first taste of an official race 👶, or those more experienced aiming to break their personal record 🏆. And even the little ones will be part of this grand celebration with a youth race of 750 meters 🤏. Lastly, for those who love taking their time to enjoy the scenery 👀, there's an option to sign up for a Nordic walk 🚶♀️➡️. So, as you can see, there are many events 🙌, so you really have no excuse: there's definitely a format made for you 👉.
Beyond the sporting aspect 🏋️, in Annecy, it's mainly the setting that's incredible 🖼️. Running by the lake 🚣, between the mountains ⛰️, with many supporters on the roads 👯♂️, because the atmosphere is always there in Annecy! 🥳 As you can see, this race has many advantages... ❤️ So, after the race, you can take the time to stay a few days in the Venice of the Alps 🎭. You'll discover the city differently, without the race excitement 🧘. You can appreciate the calm of the surrounding nature 🏞️. There are plenty of activities to do according to your desires 🥰. We suggest you head to the Col de la Forclaz, where you can admire magnificent sunsets, almost close to the stars! 🌟 And above all, don't forget to enjoy the local cuisine 🍽️, as you are in the right place for a treat. Specialties with raclette 🧀, tartiflette 🫕, fondue… it's mouth-watering 😋.
In short, participating in the Brooks Marathon of Lake Annecy, is more than a race 🏁, but truly an experience 🤪. You can share a moment of conviviality 🫶, solidarity with your loved ones 👪, and also with other runners throughout this weekend 😘.
Come on, the Brooks Marathon of Lake Annecy is waiting for you! 🙏
The race will start at 8:30 AM ⏲️, from Le Pâquier, opposite the lake 🚣. Runners will make their first strides in the heart of the city🏃➡️, with supporters gathering in numbers to watch this beautiful spectacle 🤹♀️. They will take the bike path that runs along the lake for much of the race 🚴♂️. Note that the marathon is organized as a round trip. During the race, participants will pass through Sevrier, Saint-Jorioz, Duingt and finally Doussard where they will make their turnaround ⏪. This marathon is fast and conducive to record 🦸♀️, you will run at full speed! ⚡ The advantage of doing a round trip is that you know the way, so give it your all on the way back 🤯. You will have a few turns before crossing the finish line to finish tiring out your legs 🦵, but Le Pâquier will finally be yours in a few meters. Congratulations on this race, you are officially a marathoner! 🤩
The half-marathon works the same way as the marathon: a round trip ➿. But this time, runners will go to Saint-Jorioz before turning back. This half-marathon is also very smooth and conducive to rocket-like speeds 🚀. Take a little time to admire the scenery because we assure you, it's magnificent! 🤩 Supporters will be numerous along the course 🥳, especially at the start and finish in the heart of Annecy. Before crossing the finish line, you'll even catch a glimpse of the famous Pont des Amours ❤️. Just a few more meters and you'll finally pass the finish arch, congratulations to you 🥹.
10 km, is the perfect formula to discover Annecy! 🥰 Regarding the course, runners will mainly stay around Le Pâquier, but they will still take a look at the lake 💧. They will pass in front of the imposing Impérial Palace hotel in Annecy, before passing the small Albigny beach, which offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains ⛰️. After a few strides on the greenway, it will be time to turn around and give it your all before crossing the finish line, to the applause of the many supporters present! 🥳
Let's go for a 5 km in an exceptional setting 🖼️. Almost the entire route takes place along the lake 🚣, with a breathtaking view of the mountains 🏞️. The runners will turn around at the small Albigny beach before sprinting towards the finish! 🏁
For those who do not wish to run, it is possible to register for the Nordic walk of 9 km 🚶♀️➡️. It will allow, just like the races 😉, a privileged discovery of the Lake Annecy 😍.
