Have you heard of the Mediterranea Tri races? 🤨 The Mediterranea Triathlon is the most popular triathlon circuit in the Mediterranean 🍹, attracting over 4,000 participants across its three cities: Alicante, Castellón, and Valencia 😱. On this page, we introduce you to the 3 formats of the Mediterranea Tri Valencia! 😇 This lovely city on the southeast coast of Spain! 🇪🇸 To give you a little more insight into this remarkable triathlon, here are the events: the veteran, aptly named "Olympic Triathlon" 🏆, entails 1.5 km of swimming 🏊♂️, 40 km of cycling, and 10 km of running! This competition can be tough if you’re not well-prepared 💪. Alternatively, there are two other options available. The "Sprint Triathlon," for instance, is less demanding 🥺: 0.75 km of swimming, 20 km of cycling 🚵♀️, and 5 km of running! If you find this distance still too challenging for your level, then we recommend the "SuperSprint Triathlon" which only requires 350 m of swimming, 10 km of cycling, and 2.5 km of running! 👣 All the triathlons at Mediterranea Tri Valencia can be participated in as a duo! 🤞 So don't hesitate to pack your best partner before flying to Spain ✈️. For families looking to enjoy some sports activities together, the Duathlon is perfect! 🎽 It's a non-competitive race where children can have fun with their parents and get a taste of the discipline! 🚴♂️ This triathlon is remarkable for its diversity, bringing together triathletes from all over the world for this special weekend! 🌏 It’s a great opportunity to meet new people and bring home unforgettable memories (and a finisher’s medal) 🏅.
Have you visited Valencia? 👀 It's one of Spain’s most beautiful and well-known cities! 🎇 Want to know why? Let us tell you! First, know that it's a city along the Mediterranean Sea. This means the swimming event takes place in the sea 🌊 (be careful not to swallow too much water, as the salt can make you thirsty). Speaking of saltwater, we highly recommend enjoying the amazing beaches 🏖️ around Valencia, such as Playa De La Malvarossa, Playa Las Arenas, or Playa Patacona (yes, we say 'playa' because we're bilingual) 🌅. During your stay, you can also admire the city’s architecture. This Spanish province boasts impressive contemporary architecture, such as the City of Arts and Sciences 🔬, known as the Hemisfèric ⚗️, whose design resembles a human eye; isn’t that cool? There’s also the historic center, which spans over 2,000 years of history! 📚 It’s even one of the largest in Europe 🗺️. If you love sites rich in culture and history, you’ll be charmed by the Church of St. Apollinaris in Valencia! ⛪ If such buildings appeal to you, also check out the renowned Lonja de la Seda, famous in the city and a well-known Gothic landmark in Europe ⚒️.
At least we know where to find you in May! 🌸
