The history of Portugal is rich. The country was one of the greatest European powers from the 15th century onwards, thanks in particular to its fleet of ships. Its famous navigators ⛵️ brought undeniable historic prestige to the country. Vasco da Gama was the first European to reach India by sea routes (1498). Of course, we invite you to discover, always with moderation, Port wine, whose vineyards flank the Douro Valley, a river that originates in <a href="kavval://countries/1f42f9da-f693-4bc9-96de-bb6e531060a7" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Spain</a> and flows into the Atlantic... at Porto. The north of the country is quite mountainous while the center and south are more suited to agriculture, with large expanses of plateaus and plains.
