The event in a few words

Welcome to Jurassic Park, with fewer dinosaurs and more cramps! 🦖 The famous MIUT (Madeira Island Ultra-Trail) will transport you to a parallel dimension. Prepare yourself for a visual and muscular shock 💥. This European monument makes no allowances for fragile calves.

We lace up our shoes on the Portuguese island of Madeira, lost in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean 🌊. You have the choice between five well-spiced events on the menu. The main course boasts 110 km and 7,200 mD+ on the meter ⛰️. The event takes place in late April. This period marks the official launch of the big trail season in Europe 🚀. The entire island holds its breath, waiting for the invasion of international runners.

The profile of this race resembles the jaws of the ocean 🦈. You will face thousands of natural staircases cut directly into the cliffside. The terrain is a real leg-breaker featuring loving mud alongside sharp volcanic rock 🪨. It feels like being on the set of King Kong with this mind-blowing ancient vegetation 🦍. Don't look for a flat surface; this island clearly wasn’t designed with a spirit level. The very technical descents will make your thighs burn like never before 💥.

The local atmosphere remains electric from the first to the last kilometer ⚡. The locals cheer you on vocally on the steepest climbs. Forget about leisurely Sunday outings; here, the weather perpetually plays roller coaster 🎢. You go from bright sunshine to thick fog in ten minutes, stopwatch in hand 🌫️. It’s the perfect opportunity to extend your stay for a dizzying family walk on the vertiginous cliffs of Cabo Girão. The atmosphere at the finish line is like a real World Cup final 🏆.

Warm up your quadriceps to white-hot and come challenge the wild jewel of the Atlantic! 🚀 Grab your race bib quickly before the tickets vanish in the Portuguese mist.
