The event in a few words

You will need to show Mol-tivation 💥

At the Mol Campus Bay Swimming, it's no longer about studying or revising your scales 🤓. You must be ready to tackle the Lágymányosi Bay. Several hundred kilometers away from the first body of saltwater 🧂, it's in this tributary of the Danube that you'll dive headfirst into one of the 4 swimming events on the program 🏊. The event takes place in one of the most eastern countries of Europe. A country where festivities are given utmost importance and where one is never bored: Hungary 🇭🇺. There, forget lane number 4 that smells of chlorine where too fast swimmers end up tickling your toes: the Mol Campus serves as your stadium 🏟️. An immense playground in the heart of the city, surrounded by greenery and natural spots for companions to picnic peacefully 🧺. Events are fully comprised of open water swimming. No room for running or cycling, here you'll become the true mermaid of the Danube 🐠.

In June, choose among the distances: 4,500 m, 3,000 m, 1,500 m or 500 m, you should find what suits you. Obviously, it would be faster on an athletics track, but you wouldn't have the coolness of the water to offset the summer heat ☀️. As for the course, you can expect it: it's flat, smooth, and nearly seamless. No currents or waves to destabilize you 🌊. Meanwhile, if you wanted to surf, you might have found a spot closer to the country of the baguette, around Biarritz or Lacanau 🥖. You'll swim in a setting that blends the futurism of the Mol Campus with the history of Budapest 📚. The key technical element to remember: swim straight 🦈. If you lean to one side, you're not close to crossing the finish line. Look straight ahead and give it your all to reach the end in record time 🏁.

As mentioned earlier, the key value of the country is celebration! The atmosphere of the Mol Campus Bay Swimming is no exception. In Budapest, you'll experience the Buda-fest 🥳. We could suggest places to go out and have fun, but each bar has its own identity and offers music that will keep you moving all night long 🕺. If you still want a general direction, you can explore these areas: the Széll Kálmán square, the ruin bars district 🍻, or the city center around St. Stephen's Basilica ⛪️. No worries for our Lyonnais friends, no connection between the Hungarian monument and the little city of Saint-Étienne in the 42nd department 🤣. If you're bringing your entire family on the trip, the Mol Campus is the perfect spot for a "sport and relaxation" day where the kids can bay-swim while you try to beat your personal record a few meters away 👶. Additionally, the city is also classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which means you can encounter monuments dating back several centuries, and immerse yourself in the city's history 🏙️: the Buda Castle, the Parliament, and the Hungarian State Opera are perfect examples 🤩. To end the weekend beautifully, discover the region through your taste buds 👅. The traditional goulash will recharge your batteries in no time! 🥘

By the end of June, dive into the Danube and hit the gas ⛽️.

An exclusively aquatic event 🏊
4,500 m, 3,000 m, 1,500 m, or 500 m, all races are 100% swimming. For specialized swimmers looking for serious competitors, it's ideal ✅.
A tailor-made training program 📏
A free and non-binding training is offered by the organizers for the distances of 4.5 km, 3 km, and 1.5 km 👨‍🏫.
