The event in a few words

If you want a race that lets you visit a big city without ever getting bored, the Nanjing Marathon is exactly your kind of plan 🏙️.

Here, you alternate between urban energy, greener stretches like a breath of fresh air, and that little thrill when you fly over a bridge/viaduct with the city stretching out in front of you, like a movie set 🌉.

You choose your adventure: the 5 km to treat yourself, share it with friends or family, or the 42.195 km to tell yourself a real story from start to finish—“Nanjing, I’ve got you in my legs” edition 🏁.

And after the finish line, I’ll keep you in the right rhythm: go chill at Xuanwu Lake Park for a waterside walk—simple and perfect to come back down gently 🌿.

If you want to extend the trip without going far, follow it up with the Nanjing City Wall (impressive even in easy-walk mode), then head to the Temple of Confucius (Fuzimiao) for the vibe, the lights, and a good meal, and finish with a detour to the Presidential Palace for a shot of history just steps from downtown. 🍜
