What is yellow green and waiting? 🌱 Nope, it's not Jonathan! 😜
Welcome to Northstowe, a town focused on nature! 🐝 This brand-new community in England, located 30 minutes from Cambridge, will be the setting for your next half marathon this month of April: the Northstowe Half Marathon. No buildings on the horizon—you'll run between newly built houses 🏘️, parks and bodies of water! 🌳 A small country race that has all the makings of a big one: its half marathon is made for setting a new personal record! 🤯
You got it: it's a half marathon that awaits you, a 21.097 km loop in the heart of the WaterParks 💦. Low carbon emissions 😮💨, sports facilities 🎾 and plenty of green spaces, everything you need to run toward victory in the best conditions! 😎 Take a deep breath—you won't find air purer than the countryside 💨. If that doesn't knock down your old PR, we don't know what will ⏱️. No need to come for the performance to enjoy the event! The locals will be out to cheer you on whatever your time 👏. You can even take part with your whole little tribe by lining up for the "Tom's Trust 5 km" 😉, a race open from 11 years old.
By running in Northstowe 🏃➡️, you're also doing a good deed! All proceeds will be donated to Tom's Trust, the UK's leading charity 🇬🇧 providing psychological support to children with brain tumours and their families 🧑🧑🧒🧒.
After crossing the finish line 🏁 and enjoying the entertainment at the race venue 🎉, go for a tour of the Cambridgeshire area. The small towns nearby 🏘️, like Longstanton, have remained authentic and rich in history. And if you prefer the city, visit Cambridge 📍, just 30 minutes by car, and explore the university and the museums 🖼️. You can even take a punt along the River Cam while enjoying some Fish & Chips ! 🐠
Can't make it to the Northstowe Half Marathon ? Maybe you'll be free for the Northstowe Running Festival in August! 🤪
