Run24 is like a backyard, where you swap one kind of pressure for another. And lucky you, it’s the kind you can drink that you’ll find on the start and finish line 🍻.
Here the principle is simple: have fun, enjoy, get moving, and share. Good vibes are the watchword, and they’re brought up to date alongside the effort 🥵. The first edition of a brand-new festive event that has everything it takes to become a benchmark in the scene will take place in June in Versoix, in the Canton of Geneva. You know, that little green gem located between the Bois du Faisan and the very famous Lake Geneva ⛵️. So that you don’t miss out on the event of the year, read the few lines that follow 🔍.
Tic-tock, tic-tock… the sound of the hands will echo in your head all day 🕰️. The concept is simple: rack up as many kilometers for 24 hours by chaining together 7 km loops in the land of chocolate and cheese 🧀. Individually, the day might feel endless, but luckily you can bring the most athletic (or most motivated) people along on your adventure. In a "Duo", in a "Crew" (3 to 5 teammates), in a "Squad" (6 to 8 teammates), or in a "Clique" (9 to 11 teammates): you build your dream team 💪. Keep in mind that "the more, the merrier", so it’s worth rallying all your even slightly sporty friends and turning every one of your aid stops into a true open-air party ✅. The effort will be easier with 11 than with 1—no need to be good at math to see that 😬. What’s more, the price decreases depending on the number of members on the team, so go for it! As for the terrain, nothing too hard—we know you’re going to spend a few hours out there, no need to add cliffs to climb 🧗. The 7 km to cover combine roads, paths, trails and forest sections for an elevation gain of only 46 mD+. After 24 hours of racing, you might be able to run the course with your eyes closed, even if no extra points will be awarded for the feat 🤣.
But in Versoix, you don’t come only to “race” or “complete a challenge”—you also come for the surrounding high-mountain scenery 🏔️. If you thought you’d rest after your long day of effort, you’re mistaken ☝️. Forests, hills, mountains, lakes, rivers—nature reasserts itself in the Canton of Geneva. You can stroll along the calm shores of Switzerland’s big puddle Switzerland, or simply spread out your towel and take a nap 😴. Once the nap is over, you can also head to Port-Choiseul for a seaside vibe 🐠, settle in at Plage de la Bécassine if you want a “vacation” break, or push on to the Château de Coppet just next door for a touch of heritage (perfect as a couple or with family) 🏰.
In short: at Run24, you come to move, you run in circles, you leave with memories, and you might sign up again for the following year before you’ve even picked up your bib… 😳.
Do you want to know what awaits you on the 7 km course that was specially designed for you for the occasion? It’s quite simple: few turns, little elevation change, lots of rhythm and atmosphere 📢. You’ll need to keep some in reserve to finish on the top step of the podium, that’s for sure.
