The event in a few words

Calling all fans of running, original concepts, fun experiences, and action-packed weekends—we’ve got a gem to suggest 🧐. In Isère, in Noyarey, one of the most festive events on the circuit is being held for the first time in 2026: the Runrise 🎺. Music, celebrations, and breakfast—we’ll explain everything ⬇️.

If the Runrise concept speaks to you, you should know the hardest part is waking up—but once you’re up, you’ll have zero regrets 🤪. Yep, the start is at 8:00 a.m., early in the morning, to kick off the day at full speed 🛞. And bib pickup? At 6:45 a.m., of course! Yes, yes—we recommend you don’t party too hard the night before, because you’ll need energy to enjoy the packed program the organizers have in store for you 🥵. A 5 km road race kicks things off. Asphalt, roads, and the mythical distance of a super fast 5,000 m to get you warmed up. But you can guess there’s a twist: the race is done wearing headphones, connected to those of all participants, broadcasting an exclusive DJ set 🤩. In short, it’s a bit like David Guetta dropping by right before your breakfast—pretty nice, right? 🥐 And once the effort is over, a real feast awaits you: pastries, coffee, and fruit juice—you’ll be better off here than at the bottom of your bed. You were already getting ready to leave? ❌ No way: Runrise is a true wellness and conviviality experience. The next activity will require flexibility and patience: a Pilates class is organized right after the run 😅. Perfect for working the muscles deeply and trying out a new discipline 🧘. Fair warning: it’s more intense than it looks 😉. Finally, when you’re out of breath and proud of your half-day, stop by the photo booth to print an unforgettable keepsake 🎞️. With that and your own feelings, we’re sure you’ll be able to motivate everyone around you the following year to come blow off steam (and get up at the crack of dawn 😬).

Now that you’re up, let’s find something to keep you busy for the rest of the day! It would be a shame to waste all that built-up motivation 💨. If your appetite is still going strong, you can head to a typical local restaurant: Grenoble walnuts as a starter, gratin dauphinois for the main course, and Bleu du Vercors-Sassenage for dessert 🧀—the little space left by the morning pastries will quickly be filled 😳. But if motivation, commitment, and nutrition have mattered since the start of this day, you shouldn’t neglect digestion 😎. To do that, you can head to the Cuves de Sassenage, where the underground river emerges from the cliff, or climb up to Fort Boyard the Fort du Saint-Eynard to count the surrounding summits. A bit farther on, you’ll find Grenoble and its legendary Bastille cable car (which will drop you exactly where your legs will refuse to climb 😂). If you want to enjoy the flat part of the city and the water’s edge, the banks of the Isère offer a dream come-down ☺️. Of course, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes is still full of surprises, but hey—that can wait for another weekend (or another trail 👀).

Between now and the month of October, we’re counting on you: rest up… and above all, make sure you know the lyrics to the hit of the moment: "last night morning a DJ saved my life !"

4 reasons to join this race

Get up before the sun 🌅
"The early bird catches the worm"—sounds familiar, right? It’s time to take charge! Here, the meetup is at 6:45 a.m., when the valley is still asleep and the sun hasn’t deigned to wake up yet. The crowd sets off at 8:00 a.m., as the light climbs the cliffs meter by meter 🏃. A race that’s night and day in just 5 km—now that’s really uncommon 😌.
A crazy DJ set 🎧
Right from the start, each runner receives connected headphones, synced to a one-of-a-kind music lineup. The result: a whole pack speeding up on the same drop 🔊, and waking up gently as the kilometers go by. After setting the dancefloor on fire, disco takes on the asphalt, and your pace follows the beat without you even thinking about it 🪩.
A first in France 🇫🇷
The concept is landing in France, in Noyarey, for a unique and exclusive first. First concept of its kind in France and first edition for this event—now all you have left to do is snag your first podium that weekend to fully enjoy the party 😆. In any case, whatever your ranking, you’ll be on the very first start list, and that’s something no one will ever be able to take away from you 🫶.
One hell of a morning 🔥
That day, you won’t be able to say you got up on the wrong side of the bed 🦶. The finish line opens onto juices, coffee, and pastries—well deserved after an hour of effort. A Pilates class rounds out this active wake-up 🧘. To keep memories of the event, a photo booth wraps it all up, before everyone heads off toward an afternoon of madness 😁.

A word from the organizer:

"We hope this first French edition of Runrise will win over its audience and give everyone a unique experience. We want it to mark the beginning of a great adventure..."

A few more words

Annnnd here we gooooo for the most festive 5 km in the region 🎉. A DJ set during your race, right in your ears—you won’t find that everywhere 😁.

The start and finish take place at Poly'sons, in the heart of Noyarey, early in the morning. The loop stays smooth from start to finish 🏃: a few village streets that will gradually take you onto the flat paths of the Isère plain, where your gaze stretches far to the cliffs of the Vercors. From km 1 to km 2.5: the bank of the Isère as your right-hand companion 💪. But don’t let yourself get drawn in by its beautiful color—you’ve got a race to finish. As for elevation, there’s almost no ascent or descent to chop up your pace, which lets you fully focus on the music in your ears 🎧. The light grows as you move forward: you start in the dimness and cross the line in broad daylight.

So, lace up your most stylish shoes, wake up at your own pace, and come have fun at Runrise!
