Stockholm Half Marathon 2024

Welcome to Stockholm, Sweden, for the Ramboll Half Marathon!

Halvmarathon means half marathon in the language of Zlatan. For this event, you can choose to run the 21 km (around 13 miles) either solo or in a team. Indeed, the organizers allow you to form a trio to tackle the course, and the best part is you can set up your team any way you like! You can even create a mixed team. Three people will make the perfect squad to take on the awaiting distance: 21 km weaving 🐍 through various islands you'll be exploring. Rest assured, the course is very smooth, perfect for setting a personal best! 🥇

The race offers a unique opportunity to explore the rich history and sights of the Swedish capital. You'll run past several city parks, as well as across many bridges needed to connect the 24,000 islands that make up the "Venice of the North." Consequently, you'll find yourself frequently near water along your path. You'll also get the chance to pass through the old town, a charming medieval heritage. The most iconic monuments of Stockholm will also be on your route. You'll encounter various statues 🗽 of significant figures in Swedish history, like the revolutionary Engelbrekt or kings Karl XII and Gustav III. The country's most important buildings will be there too, such as the parliament or the Karlsberg Castle 🏰, which houses a military academy 🪖 and a splendid park. The cherry 🍒 on top, you'll finish your race near the royal palace, home to the royal family👑, including King Carl XVI Gustaf.

Far from the formal atmosphere of royal ceremonies 🙄, it's party time 🥳 during this race. You'll find solid and liquid refreshments... and also moral support! Numerous speakers will be stationed at various points of the race to cheer you on 🙌, just like brass bands and hordes of supporters who'll be there to make some noise.
