Les Foulรฉes de la Soie
An adventure like Indiana Jones, interested? Come on, grab your hat ๐ค , your whip, and your best pair of boots... We're heading to Asia for an absolutely incredible event: the Silk Stride โฉ๏ธ.
But, what exactly is the Silk Stride? Very good question, my dear Watson! It's a stage race organized every year since 1996! ๐ Each year, the organizers propose a new destination to runners but the goal has always remained the same: to have you discover a country in Asia by running between 10 and 21 km. And in addition to running, cultural visits are scheduled every afternoon ๐คฉ. So you can fully enjoy the destination! The next edition of the Silk Stride will take place in October. And this year the race will take place in Vietnam! The journey allows you to discover beautiful places, wild or not, throughout the country. Rest assured, after the effort, there are plenty of visits and relaxation moments planned. So you can rest your legs between each event!
Since its creation almost 30 years ago, the event has attracted more and more people! The organizers have built a loyal following of runners who wouldn't miss this race for anything ๐ โโ๏ธ. Over the years, the Silk Stride has been organized in many different countries: first in China ๐จ๐ณ, then in Sri Lanka ๐ฑ๐ฐ, in Uzbekistan ๐บ๐ฟ, in India ๐ฎ๐ณ, in Montenegro ๐ฒ๐ช, in Laos ๐ฑ๐ฆ, in Cambodia ๐ฐ๐ญ, in Myanmar ๐ฒ๐ฒ, etc.
This year, the event will include seven stages of 15 to 21 km each! While the distances are relatively short (maximum 21 km), be aware that you will be running in climatic conditions you do not encounter in Europe. Running with high humidity levels under intense heat remains challenging ๐ฅต. That's why the organizers have opted for shorter distances!
In total, you will embark on an eight-day adventure ๐ค . It's time to know your schedule, right? Your journey will start in Hanoi, the capital! It will continue to iconic destinations like Phu Tho, a province in Vietnam with majestic remnants. Moreover, there are no age or performance requirements to participate in the Silk Stride๐ช. This adventure is for anyone who simply wants to engage in their favorite sport in exceptional settings! ๐โโ๏ธ
So, Indiana, ready to take on the adventure? ๐ฅ
