Ecomarathon de Tondabayashi
Have you ever dreamed of running in the Land of the Rising Sun? ๐ Well, here's the perfect opportunity for you! ๐ซต
The Tondabayashi Ecomarathon, located in the beautiful city of Tondabayashi, in the Osaka Prefecture, in Japan ๐ฏ๐ต, is a must-attend event for any runner ๐โโ๏ธ. This road race takes place in September ๐, offering 2 timed races โฑ๏ธ of 5 km and 10 km. Whether you're a beginner or experienced, you'll have the opportunity to run along the bike path that runs beside the Minamikawachi bike path ๐ฃ. If you're here for a family day, a 5 km parent-child race ๐ฉโ๐ฆ is organized, which is non-timed. In any case, you'll start at 11 AM, and since the races are limited to 200 participants in total, you won't have to worry about being trampled when the race starts ๐ค.
With several other sports events organized, particularly in the prefectures of Saitama, Osaka, Hiroshima, Kyoto, and Kumamoto (but mainly in Tokyo ๐ธ), the Ecomarathon places itself as an environmentally friendly organization ๐ณ and engaged in different causes ๐๏ธ. This year, you can donate to the international refugee support association: Second Harvest Japan. As Japan's first food bank, the organization is committed to ensuring everyone has access to food ๐ฒ.
If you plan to extend your stay and visit the region, Osaka Prefecture is full of attractions for young and old! The Kaiyukan Aquarium is one of the largest in the world, housing a wide variety of marine life ๐ฆ. The Universal Studios Japan are the first to have opened outside the United States, similar to those in Orlando, and have been introducing exclusive attractions for a few years, so you can find manga heroes ๐ซฐ and popular Japanese characters. If you only have one day in the prefecture and don't know what to choose, why not go on an excursion to the city of Kyoto, former capital of Japan and an iconic place of traditional Japanese culture ๐.
Today, Tondabayashi is a historic city with a strong religious past reflected in its architecture๐. In the very center, about 250 of the approximately 600 townhouses have remained traditional houses, like the former Sugiyama residence, located southwest of the city, an important cultural heritage listed at the national level! ๐
So, ready to take on the challenge? Warm up, tie your laces, and rush to sign up for the Tondabayashi Ecomarathon! ๐
