Marathons in Brittany

Before tackling the subject of the marathon made in Breizh, how about we start with a walk 🚶🏼? There's a long path in Brittany that lets you discover the region: the customs officers’ path, aka the GR34! 2000 kilometers of coastline and seaside trails between the Mont Saint Michel (yes, yes, it is in Normandy…) and Saint Nazaire, through all the departments of the region: Côtes d’Armor, Finistère, Ille-et-Vilaine and Morbihan... You will be able to enjoy an infinite number of sand beaches and wilder seaside. Nature lovers will be delighted! And the cities in all this? Saint Malo is worth a visit. Brest is a unique city that will leave a mark on you; no one remains indifferent. Quimper, Saint-Brieuc, and Vannes are other pleasant cities to visit. A little galette with a sparkling cider on a terrace? Rennes Breton is waiting for you for that. You won't find it in Nantes 😅. A must-see is the Gulf of Morbihan and its mini-inland sea to explore in every direction. A few islands are scattered along the Breton coast: island of Bréhat, island of Ouessant, island of Moines, Belle-île, archipelago of Glénan, Crozon peninsula… Inland, if you really want to find a bit of relief and elevation, you can rely on the gentle heights of the Armorican Massif.

So, are we looking with you for a marathon in Brittany? Let's start in the Armorican capital, namely Rennes. The Marathon Vert Rennes Konica Minolta offers the mythical distance, as well as a 10 km and a 5 km reserved for women. A race committed to the planet: each kilometer covered = one tree planted, for the 5 events with the Yves Rocher Foundation. Applause 👏🏼. Further south, the Marathon de Vannes will allow you to discover this little paradise and its gulf. Be warned, it's a guaranteed favorite 😍. After a city start, you're off to the seaside! The event's 10 km is night. A marathon that smells good of Brittany? I have named the Marathon Loudéac-Pontivy, in the Côtes d’Armor. A city-to-city race, to better enjoy nature between Loudéac and Pontivy...
