We are delighted to present the Vila-Seca Half Marathon💃, or in Catalan Mitja Marato de Vila-Seca! If you don't know where this city is located, well, it's a city in Catalonia! 🗺️ It is in the comarca of Tarragonès, province of Tarragona 🏞️, on the Costa Daurada. Participating in the Vila-Seca Half Marathon is above all enjoying a route that goes through both the historic center of the historic city 📚 and its coastal districts, offering a unique visual experience throughout the 21 km! 👀 Of course, if you're not a fan of the half, you can always turn to the road race course of 10 km, or even the 5 km one! 🏃‍♀️ The event is organized by the Vila-Seca Runners Sports Club, a non-profit sports club 🤸‍♀️, strongly committed to promoting sports, especially running, through its sports project! 💪

You can't deny that running by the sea 🌊 is pretty awesome, and not all cities can offer you that luxury! However, only the half-marathon route allows you to greet the fish 🐟, for the other two, you'll have to "settle for" the historical sites of the city, like the Vila-Seca Castle 🏰 a medieval fortress transformed in the 19th century, or the Saint Stephen's Church ⛪, notable for its simple and elegant style, between late Gothic and Renaissance influences... 📜 Oh no... Really too boring! Well, now that we've whetted your appetite with our little history point, we highly recommend extending your Spanish stay to have time to explore all the beautiful things in and around the city... 🔥

Tarragona, a city waiting for your visit, where you can see its impressive Roman heritage, like the Roman Amphitheater and the Roman Forum, ideal for history lovers 🏛️. Port Aventura is just a few kilometers away, this amusement park is perfect for family or friends fun 🎢. For beach lovers, there's Salou, where you can relax on its golden beaches and enjoy water activities ⛱️. And if you still have energy, don't hesitate to explore the Ebro Delta Nature Reserve and discover its unique biodiversity 🌿. A little hike to recharge after the race!

So, ready to immerse yourself in the Catalan atmosphere? 😃

A few more words

The Vila-Seca Half-Marathon will invite you to discover the city from different angles. The start will be in the heart of the historic center ⚔️, with its typical Spanish 🇪🇸 streets and monuments like the Sant Esteve Church and the Vila-Seca Castle 🏰 up to km 8. The course will then head south: you will run alongside the Vila-Seca Golf (Lakes) before reaching the coast 🌊, where you will enjoy a 3 km stretch along the Mediterranean. You will make a half-turn at the beach to return to the downtown area of Vila-Seca, passing near the Port Aventura Park 🎢.
