The event in a few words

Welcome to the top of the Giant of Provence! New year often rhymes with new challenges ๐Ÿ’ช and for that, the VentouxMan makes a grand return! ๐Ÿคฉ This iconic and unique triathlon in France ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท invites you this September in Monteux, in the Provence-Alpes-Cรดte d'Azur region ๐ŸŒž. It's at the foot of the legendary Mont Ventoux ๐Ÿ”๏ธ, in the Vaucluse, that you will start (or restart, for the connoisseurs ๐Ÿ˜‰) the adventure! With its 2 km of swimming ๐ŸŠโ€โ™‚๏ธ, 104 km of cycling ๐Ÿšด and 18 km of running ๐Ÿƒ, it's a long-distance event that awaits you in the heart ๐Ÿซถ of Provence ๐Ÿชป. You can choose to complete the event solo or in relay in pairs ๐Ÿค. The event maintains its organization ๐Ÿ˜ with all transition zones โฉ centralized at the same location, which is much easier for the athletes! ๐Ÿ“ This means you can, right out of the water ๐ŸŒŠ, hop on your super Nimbus Bike 2000 ๐Ÿงน to conquer the Mont Ventoux ๐Ÿšต.

It's an extraordinary triathlon that awaits you! ๐Ÿ˜Ž The VentouxMan consists of three steps of self-surpassing, but specifically, what does this edition have in store for you? ๐Ÿค” You will start with 2 km of swimming in Lac de Monteux, where you will complete two laps โžฟ with an Australian exit mid-course. It's a moment of great fervor for the crowd, who can enjoy a live spectacle and boost the athletes' energy! ๐Ÿฅณ After getting out of the lake, you will immediately jump on your bike and head towards the most coveted mountain by cyclists, need not be mentioned anymore: the Giant of Provence ๐Ÿคฏ. You'll climb the mountain by its toughest path, but we know nothing stops you! The major elevation of the event is concentrated on this section so hold on, it's not that long (only about 104 km ๐Ÿ˜…). Along the way, natural landscapes ๐ŸŒฟ will accompany you to the summit, offering you a clear view of the entire valley ๐Ÿ˜ฏ. Finally, you'll have just the 18 km run to cap offโ€ฆ and wear out those legs ๐Ÿ˜‚. The plan includes two loops โžฟ of 9 km around the lake shores. A perfect opportunity to take in a quaint little Provence village, just a stone's throw from Carpentras. If you're running the triathlon in relay with a three-member team, the division will be simple: one swimmer ๐ŸŠ, one cyclist ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™€๏ธ, and one runner ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ. For two-member teams, distribution is optional. More events are also anticipated for this 11th edition! ๐ŸŽ‰ You can start Duathlon L if you aren't fond of cycling โ˜๏ธ. And for off-road enthusiasts, the VentouxMan is organizing the Gravel M Triathlon to reconnect with nature! ๐Ÿฅฐ A Triathlon S will round off the weekend events ๐Ÿ—“๏ธ. For road enthusiasts, a 10 km race is organized starting at the Stade Saint-Hilaire of Monteux. You'll need to sharpen your gear to outrun the cyclists blazing down Ventoux's slopes! ๐Ÿ’จ The children will also be in the spotlight during this 2026 edition ๐Ÿง’ thanks to the "Aquathlon Kids" ๐ŸŒŠ event. They will have multiple running and swimming distances according to their age ๐Ÿค“. This event, increasingly popular among triathletes, is gradually becoming a referential family sporting event ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ.

But that's not all! A buffet ๐Ÿฅช awaits you at the finish ๐Ÿ to replenish your energy ๐Ÿ’ช. You can also enjoy a cold beer ๐Ÿป, and osteopaths ๐Ÿง‘โ€โš•๏ธ will be at your service for some good recovery! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Around the Ventoux โ›ฐ๏ธ, small Provence villages full of charm are plentiful ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ. After your triathlon, take some time to explore one of the many Vaucluse villages ๐Ÿ˜๏ธ. Pernes-les-Fontaines with its vineyards ๐Ÿ‡, Carpentras with its monuments ๐Ÿฐ, Venasque with its history ๐Ÿ›๏ธ, Bรฉdoin as the mythic village of the Tour de France ๐Ÿšด or even Avignon with its Papal Palace, you've got plenty to do! ๐Ÿ˜

So, are we seeing you at the top of Mont Ventoux? ๐Ÿค—

4 reasons to join this race

The magnificent course ๐Ÿคฉ
We think you might have guessed it, you're about to start a triathlon in one of the most incredible settings! ๐Ÿคฏ The bike event ๐Ÿšต will take you on the most famous and feared course in the cycling world: the ascent of Mont Ventoux ๐Ÿ”๏ธ. It's a must for all seasoned cyclists who want to challenge themselves on a legendary circuit โญ. You'll have the opportunity to do it as a triathlete, and not everyone can say that! ๐Ÿ˜Ž
The electrifying atmosphere ๐Ÿฅณ
This year, the Ventouxman is set to be one of the craziest! The start and finish lines, along with the exhibitor village, will all be at Lac de Monteux ๐Ÿ. It will also be the gathering point for supporters, with a promised top-notch atmosphere to cheer on triathletes during their transitions! ๐ŸŽ‰ From the swimming event, with an Australian exit mid-race, you can regain motivation as you pop your head out of the water ๐ŸŠโ€โ™‚๏ธ. One thing's for sure, you won't lack encouragement! ๐Ÿ‘
Enjoying a unique triathlon โœจ
Have you ever seen a triathlon pass by the summit of Mont Ventoux? No? ๐Ÿค” Well, that's normal, there's only one, and it's inimitable! ๐Ÿ‘ธ The VentouxMan is the only triathlon with such a legendary cycling stage. You will climb Mont Ventoux via Bedouin, the most technical and steepest side! ๐Ÿ“ˆ You'll have to earn this ascent of the Giant of Provence ๐Ÿฅต. Moreover, the event takes place at the end of the season, allowing you to be well-prepared and give it your all for one of the last triathlon meetings of the year! ๐Ÿ’ช
A human-sized event ๐Ÿฅฐ
Although the VentouxMan has quickly become one of the most sought-after French triathlons, it has managed to keep its human dimension ๐Ÿค—. Everyone will find their place in the transition zones with a maximum capacity set at 2,000 participants. In addition to a reasonable number of triathletes, the event is growing and offering more and more formats for budding young triathletes ๐Ÿ˜œ. The "Aquathlon Kids" helps to democratize the practice of triathlon among the younger generation. This intergenerational sharing highlights the collective character of this otherwise individual sport ๐Ÿ˜Œ.
