Bergamo, is unpretentious elegance, Lombard sweetness, and the charm of its cobbled streets ๐ฅฐ. Whether you're a sprinter, a budding marathoner, or simply a fan of beautiful sports walks, this race promises you a unique moment of effort, discovery, and pleasure ๐. Two distances are offered to you: an explosive 10 km to fly like the wind ๐ or a half-marathon to get caught up in the magic of this surprising city ๐. It is possible to do these two distances in "non-competitive" form.
If you're looking for a fast and accessible race, the 10 km is for you โก๏ธ. With its rolling track, it's the perfect opportunity to beat your personal record โฑ๏ธ. But be careful, Bergamo won't let you pass without charming you: the Sentierone, its elegant arcades, and vibrant squares will almost make you forget you're there to run... ๐
Not a fan of time pressure? โฑ๏ธ No problem: the non-timed version is perfect for savouring the moment. Take the time to look up, gaze at the walls of the Cittร Altaand feel the spirit of this historic city. Here, every step is an invitation to discover a little more of this jewel Lombard ๐๏ธ. And even if you're there for performance, be prepared to be slowed down... by the beauty of the places ๐คฉ. Bergamo has that little something that will make you hesitate between speeding up to finish quickly or slowing down to enjoy a little more ๐ .
In Bergamo, recovery is an art ๐ผ๏ธ. Once your well-earned medal is around your neck, dive into local flavours for a moment of pure comfort ๐ฝ๏ธ. Here, there's no way you're leaving without tasting casoncelli alla bergamasca, these typical ravioli ๐ฅ stuffed with meat, cheese, and herbs, served with a butter and sage sauce ๐. Need a sweet pick-me-up? Indulge in polenta e osei, this polenta-shaped dessert (but made of sponge cake, cream, and marzipan) which is a real local icon ๐ง. And for cheese lovers ๐ง, you can't miss the specialities from the surrounding valleys: Taleggio or Strachitunt, creamy and tasty cheeses that will make you forget fatigue ๐ด.
If you still have some energy ๐ฅ, a digestive stroll ๐ถ is a must in the cobblestone streets of the Cittร Alta, with its UNESCO-listed Venetian walls ๐ and historical monuments like the Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore ๐ตโ๐ซ. For hiking enthusiasts ๐ฅพ, discover the Bergamasque valleys and let yourself be charmed by the beauty of nearby Lake Iseo ๐๏ธ.
