Let's be honest, participating in the Bol d’Or Vélo x Paris is like taking a trip back in time, with a race number pinned to your jersey 🎞️. Head to Seine-Saint-Denis, in the Île-de-France region, for an event that finally reconnects with its deepest roots 🫀. Imagine the prestige: the legend was born here, in 1894. And after over 130 years of waiting, it makes its grand return at the gates of the capital 🇫🇷. Yes, 130 years is not exactly young... ⭐️ For this completely unprecedented edition scheduled for the end of May, forget the classic formats and make way for one queen event: a cycling endurance race of 12 hours, as a team 👯. That's going to be epic 💥. It's the perfect opportunity to test your endurance, your tactical sense, and the strength of your bonds with your trio 🤣. The format allows no respite; you'll be on the go from 8 AM to 8 PM, that's a full workday 😉. In short, you’ll understand that every minute counts, to (re) enter the history of this race 🚴.
The playing field is worthy of the challenge: the legendary Carole Circuit, located in Tremblay-en-France 📍. Typically, it is reserved for engines that make loud noises and for motorcycle pilots' trajectories 🏍️. But this time, it opens its gates to the most well-toned calves for an extraordinary experience ⚡️. The track is 2.055 km of perfectly grained tarmac 👌. Here, you forget the usual traps: no treacherous cobblestones, no unexpected roots! You'll be on a perfectly smooth black ribbon just waiting to be tamed 🤠. Naturally, the circuit is safe, so no traffic problems to bother you ⛔️. The only thing you need to think about is: maintaining the pace and managing your relays with your team 🤝. It may be easier said than done, but it will strengthen your bonds, for sure! 🔐
Between each relay, the adrenaline will not drop! Among the paddocks, it's the perfect time to encourage your buddies, check the times, and revise your team's strategy (if you have one 😹), as well as that of the competitors. After all, it's still a race to win 🏅. In any case, over 12 hours of racing, you will spend your day with your trio, so there’s no room for petty issues; it's primarily a human adventure 💕. Moreover, for spectators who want to follow the action in real-time, the stands will, of course, be open! ☀️
Well, let's not pretend, you saw it in the title, you'll be very close to Paris! 🗼 So after giving it your all on the track, why not enjoy a weekend in the capital📍. Plus, you'll be well-served given the diversity of activities. Are you more into museum tours? 🏛️ No problem, with the Louvre, you can hardly do better 💎. If you prefer sports, check out the Parc des Princes during a PSG match ⚽️. Do you want greenery? 💐 Then spend a day at Versailles in the beautiful gardens of Louis XIV, you'll be in paradise 😍. And if a good day means a good meal: a reservation in a Parisian boulion, will make your weekend perfect 😋.
Come on, the return of this mythical competition awaits only you. Come rewrite the history of this race, which promises to be… mythical! 👑
The organizer's message:
"It is a real pride to revive this mythical event on the land where it all began. Our aim is to offer everyone the chance to share a unique sporting challenge and human adventure."
Get ready for a total immersion on a closed loop of 2.055 km! Every meter there has been designed for spectacle and speed 💨. The profile may seem flat at first glance, but don't be deceived by appearances 🤡. The repetition of technical turns and accelerations at the exit of each corner will put your nerves and quadriceps to the test over time ⏱️.
The track begins with a fast straight where the pack can stretch and take maximum draft before tackling the famous "Golf" curve ⛳️. This is followed by the "Parabole", a very long and technical turn that requires a surgical trajectory to not waste energy ⚡️. Passing in front of the pits and paddock area forms the beating heart of your adventure: the encouragement from your team and the public gives you the boost to go for another lap 🔄.
What awaits you is an exercise in consistency, effort management, and absolute fluidity. Be careful, you'll need to master everything for 12h, so pace yourself 😉.
