The event in a few words

Get ready to become "crazy about Corfu" (as a certain Frank Michael would say)! 🎤 We hope you warmed up well 🏋️, because an extreme adventure is what you’re about to experience! 🗺️ In the heart of the splendid Island of Corfu, in Greece, the trails and small village roads will welcome a squadron of trail runners ready to battle it out 💪. Long trail or short trail, all distances will be in the spotlight during this sporty weekend 😎. In early May, you’ll be immersed in scenery worthy of the Bahamas: paradise beaches 🏖️, turquoise waters 🌊, lush vegetation 🌿 and small typical hamlets! 🏘️

So it’s between nature and the seaside that your race will take place! 🌞 Four routes will be offered: the "Quick Trail" of 12 km and 300 mD+ for a quick but intense introduction to the beauty of Corfu, the "Olive Tree" of 24 km and 1,200 mD+ for a deeper immersion among centuries-old olive groves 🌳, the "Rain Trail" of 44 km and 2,200 mD+ for lovers of wild landscapes looking to push their limits, and finally the "CMT Ultra"! 🔥 This behemoth boasts no less than 103 km and 4,200 mD+ 🤯. Ultra-trail runners in search of a new playground will be well served! 😅 Over the kilometers, you’ll learn a bit more about island life and, above all, you’ll be able to admire quite a few of its most famous monuments (even more if you run the 103 km 😂). Don’t worry: even if you cross the road—or rather the sand ⌛—of Corfu’s beaches, you won’t have to run on them and risk battling a grain of sand stuck in your shoe 😬. All the routes share one thing in common: their finish! 🏁 Whatever distance you choose, you’ll cross the finish line right in the city center 🏙️, to the applause of the locals who come especially for the occasion! 🥳 This 12th edition will surely make as many happy people as previous ones 😁. Its reputation is such that the cream of the elite ⭐ takes the start of the day’s biggest race: Franco Collet, Ludovic Pommeret, Maude Mathys, Marco Olmo, Giuditta Turini and Gediminas Grinius have chosen the Corfu Mountain Trail 🏆. The reason? Well, the event is part of the UTMB circuit! 🌍

So, for this world-renowned event, why not stay one or two extra days and enjoy this highly sought-after destination? 🤔 Out of season and without the tourists 🧳, you’ll be able to fully enjoy the beauty and authenticity of this little slice of paradise 😇. To rest your legs, you can lace up your sneakers 🥾 and head out—poles in hand and cap pulled down tight 🧢—to conquer the Old Town of Corfu, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site 🏰. You can also enjoy a getaway to Paleokastritsa to discover its paradise beaches and its sea caves 🏖️, or dive into history at the Achilleion, the splendid palace of Empress Sissi 🏛️. With family, as a couple, or with friends, there’s no shortage of options! 🤗

By taking part in the Corfu Mountain Trail, you won’t just be doing sport—you’ll live an extraordinary adventure between mountain and sea 🌅.

A word from the organizer:

"As race director, my greatest wish is that every runner leaves Corfu having discovered the island the way few visitors get the chance to. The Corfu Mountain Trail is much more than a race; it’s a journey through centuries-old olive groves, picturesque mountain villages, spectacular coastal paths and breathtaking viewpoints that reveal the island’s secret soul. Together with our volunteers and local communities, we look forward to welcoming you with true Corfiot hospitality and sharing an unforgettable adventure. See you at the starting line!"
