UTMB® World Series Qualifiers

Easy, it's the starting point 📌. These races are like the base of a mountain ⛰️. There are thousands of races worldwide that are part of it. By participating, you can get better rates and a pre-registration period for the UTMB® World Series. But be warned ⚠️, you can't win any Running Stones at these races, but you can update your UTMB® Index ✅. You can find the races that match you on our UTMB® World Circuit calendar 🏃. UTMB® World Series Events

Check this out: only these events give you Running Stones ☝️ for the finals draw 🏁. They take place all around the world 🗺️. In France, there are 4: Trail du Saint-Jacques by UTMB®, Nice Côte d’Azur by UTMB®, and Restonica Trail by UTMB®. The top three men 🙋 and women 🙋‍♀️ from these races win a direct ticket to the final of their category. The others get their hands on Running Stones.

Now that you understand how UTMB® World Series Events work, let us introduce you to the French 🇫🇷 races of the UTMB® World Series:

🔹 TRAIL DU SAINT-JACQUES BY UTMB®

October, in Le Puy-en-Velay!

The program includes 4 races and 1 hike: Ultra du Grand Trail du Saint-Jacques (130 km), Grand Trail du Saint-Jacques (75 km), Mara-Trail du Saint-Jacques (51 km), Chibottes (18 km), and an 18 km hike. These courses follow the path of the GR65 🌿, offering views of fir tree landscapes evoking the spirit of Christmas in the middle of June 🌞. The adventure ends at the Cathédrale du Puy-en-Velay ⛪, marking the end of this feat inspired by the Walkers of Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle 🚶. Beyond the sporting aspect, the Trail du Saint-Jacques offers a true dive into history 📖. 🔹 NICE CÔTE D’AZUR BY UTMB®

September, back to school!

Hey, guess what? There's a great event coming up: Nice Côte d’Azur by UTMB®. This gem takes place at the end of summer 🗓️. On the agenda, trail running in the Mediterranean basin 🐚, with 4 breathtaking courses: short trail (22 km), long trail (54 km), and 2 ultra-trails (107 km and 159 km). The route passes through picturesque towns such as Villefranche-sur-Mer, Menton, Roubion and Auron 🧭. Forget the snowy peaks of Mont-Blanc ❄️, this adventure takes place on the peaks of the Southern Alps and in the heart of the Mercantour National Park. A unique opportunity to immerse yourself in this exceptional nature 🌞, rich in biodiversity.

🔹 RESTONICA TRAIL BY UTMB®

Enjoy the summer!

The Restonica Trail offers challenging routes over 5 different distances: walk (9 km), U Giro di Tumbone (17 km), Tavignanu Trail (33 km), Restonica Trail (69 km), and Ultra Trail de Corsica (110 km). Watch your step! 👟 To help you in your mission, a friendly tip: bring poles. The start is given in the Tavignagnu biological reserve, at night for the longest distances 🌙. The Corsican landscapes offer breathtaking panoramas 🪨, with emblematic spots like lac Calacuccia and the peak of Bocca Crucetta ⛰️. 🔹 TRAIL ALSACE GRAND EST BY UTMB®

This summer, head east!

Join a trail running across the Bas-Rhin and the Haut-Rhin with 4 proposed routes: 34 km, 50 km, 113 km, and 165 km. From the 12th kilometer, your journey through the rich heritage begins with the magnificent courtyard of the Château du Hohlandsbourg! 🏰 This first stop among the 20 castles along the route opens the way to a series of discoveries 🔍, leading you through the Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg, the charming towns of Turckheim and Kaysersberg, as well as the famous Alsatian vineyards 🍇. This event is an adventure through the Vosges massif ⛰️, following paths where nature is both wild and preserved 🌾. Your journey concludes on the Ramparts of Obernai 🧱, a town ranked among the most beautiful detours of France 🇫🇷.

Fancy continental mini-finals? 🗺️ Each year, 3 events are chosen among the UTMB® World Series Events: one in Asia/Oceania ⛩️, one in Europe, and one in America 🌎. These races are very advantageous because they allow you to double the number of Running Stones you can win 🏆. And that's not all! Imagine, the top 10 men and women from each of these three races get direct access to the final 🏁 in the same race category. So there you have it, 3 continents, so “3 mini-finals”! The ultimate trail adventure in July!

Each year, the Major races of the UTMB® World Series serve as continental finals, highlighting the best runners from each region ✨. In 2024, this European mini-final will be held in the heart of the majestic Spanish Pyrenees 🇪🇸, in Vielha. Prepare to experience an unforgettable trail running adventure during HOKA Val d'Aran by UTMB®! This journey will lead you through spectacular landscapes, making Val d'Aran a true paradise for trail running enthusiasts in Europe 🇪🇺. Nicknamed "the essence of the Pyrenees," this valley offers breathtaking views, with 30% of its territory located at over 2,000 meters altitude 📈 and peaks reaching over 3,000 meters 😮. The HOKA Val d'Aran by UTMB® stands out for its high level of competition ⏫. It is important to note that the top 10 men and women from each UTMB® World Series Majors race automatically qualify for the UTMB® World Series Finals 🏁.

🔹 AMERICAS MAJOR

End of April, Set your sights on endurance with HOKA Canyons Endurance Runs™ by UTMB®!

The next stage of the American circuit of the UTMB® World Series will take place in the historic city of Auburn 🏙️️, nestled in the heart of the Sierra Nevada Range in California ⛰️. Nicknamed the "World Capital of Endurance" 🇺🇸, Auburn promises an unforgettable trail experience 🌆. The HOKA Canyons Endurance Runs™ by UTMB® offers double qualification for 2 races: the UTMB® World Series Finals and the Western States Endurance Run ⭐. This competition represents a unique opportunity for top-performing runners to qualify for the Western States 100 🏅. Starting in early December, end the year in style!

Every season, the Major races of the UTMB® World Series transform into continental finals 🌏. In 2024, it's Chiang Mai's turn, the real jewel of Thailand 🇹🇭, to host the Asia-Pacific finale. You're about to experience a great adventure on the HOKA Chiang Mai Thailand by UTMB®, which will immerse you in the landscapes of the north of Thailand ⬆️. The start and finish of this race are located in the heart of the Doi Inthanon national park 🏞️. UTMB® Finals

Add it to your late-August calendar! The trail running world welcomes a new international circuit with UTMB® Mont-Blanc 🏔️ as the grand finale alongside: OCC® (Orsières-Champex-Chamonix) and CCC® (Courmayeur-Champex-Chamonix). Now, you're probably wondering how to qualify 🤔. Well, you need at least 1 Running Stone and 1 valid UTMB® Index. Running Stones are obtained by completing a UTMB® World Series or Major race. You can find all the necessary information on the UTMB® World Circuit 🔊. Got it? Let us introduce you to the 3 major races of the UTMB World Series:

🔹 UTMB®

This is the ultimate final of the UTMB World Series in the 100M category. Open to all, from amateurs to elites, during a UTMB World Series event 🌍.

🔹 CCC®

Here, it's the 100 km category final of the UTMB World Series 🏁. Accessible after collecting Running Stones or obtaining direct entry by winning on UTMB World Series races 🏅.

🔹 OCC®

This one is like the challenge for ultra middle-distance runners, the final of the 50 km category of the UTMB World Series. Open to all runners with at least 1 Running Stone and to elites qualified via UTMB World Series races ☝️.
