What are the Running Stones?

The game of qualifying points!

Running Stones ✊, are super simple: you participate in races on the UTMB World Series circuit, finish the race, and boom, you earn points 🤩.

What are the Running Stones?

Each point, or Running Stone, gives you an additional chance to be selected for the dream races in Chamonix: the UTMB®, the CCC®, or the OCC® ⛰️. The more Running Stones you accumulate, the higher your chances of securing a bib 🍀.

🔹 How to collect Running Stones?

To collect Running Stones, simply finish races affiliated with the UTMB World Series circuit 👍. Each race earns you a certain number of points depending on its distance, elevation, and difficulty 📈. For example, the Trail Verbier Saint-Bernard (42 km and 3000 D+) awards you 2 Running Stones, while the Trail du Saint-Jacques by UTMB® (81 km and 3300 D+) gives you 3 😮. No matter the distance chosen, you can accumulate these precious stones.

🔹 What about their validity?

Good news ✅: your Running Stones are valid for life! But beware, to be able to use them, at least one of your points must have been earned in the last two years 💪. So, if you want to run in Chamonix next year, make sure you have at least one point in the past two years 🗓️.

🔹 How to check my points?

To know how many Running Stones you have in stock 📦, create your My UTMB account on the UTMB® website 🌐. In less than 3 minutes ⏳, you will be able to check your UTMB Index and the number of Running Stones you have accumulated 🎉. That way, you'll know if you have enough points to try your luck in the draw for the Chamonix races 🏃.

Participate in UTMB World Series races, collect Running Stones, and multiply your chances of running in Chamonix 🔥. Let's go!
