Corrida Crédit Agricole de Toulouse
Do you feel those gentle sun rays on your face? ☀️ Do you hear the birds chirping? 🦜 That little thrill that fills you when you think of running in the city, at sunset after a long day at work sitting behind a screen? 👟 No doubt, you’re ready for the Corrida Crédit Agricole Toulouse! And no, not that kind of corrida: 🐂! It's in the month of July, specifically in Occitanie, that the beautiful Toulouse transforms into a full-scale playground for all runners wanting to combine physical exertion, festivity, and a guaranteed summer atmosphere, my friend! 🎉 Two formats on the menu: a 3 km for getting started or casually jogging among friends! 😌 And a more challenging 10 km 🌶️, for those who want to hit the pace 💃 on a route as beautiful as it is rolling, solo or 2️⃣ in relay. In any case, you start from the majestic Place du Capitole, in the very heart of Toulouse 🏛️. And just doing that puts a smile on your face! 😁
But as previously mentioned, the Corrida is not just a race bib 🎽, nor even a story of bullfighting... This one is pedestrian 🏃, and it lasts a whole evening to fully experience the Toulouse nightlife 🌙, halfway between a street festival and a popular race 🎶. That's the southwest kiddo! Music resonates in the alleys, cheers burst from the terraces, and applause showers down as much as smiles! 👏 You pass in front of illuminated monuments, run along the Garonne 🌊, slalom between the historical streets of the beautiful city, and its lanterns suspended above the streets 🏮. A romantic setting that may help you find your running partner in the Pink City 💕. And then, there's something extra: this human summer warmth, perfectly adding to the sporting performance and the moment of sharing! 🤝 And the little bonus that gives meaning to your strides: the proceeds from the race will be donated to associations working for early childhood 👶. You ran well, you sweated a lot? 💦 But you also did a very nice gesture! ❤️ Not bad, right?
But what to do once the finish line is crossed? 🏁 Well, in any case, no question of going straight home ❌. You are in Toulouse, after all! Head out to quench your thirst and have a drink in the Saint-Pierre district 🍻, have an ice cream on the terrace on the quais de la Daurade 🍦, or go for a walk with friends on the lawn of the Jardin des Plantes 🐨. If you still have some energy the next day, take the opportunity to wander at the Victor Hugo market in the early morning 🌅, enjoy a revisited cassoulet 🍲, or even climb on a barge to chill on the water ⛴️. And then, if you still have the heart of an adventurer! 🧗 The Pyrenees are just two hours away by car if you want to venture onto some of the most beautiful trails in the southwest of France... But that's another story 😉.
For now, focus on what's ahead: a magnificent city, a magical evening, and a race that will definitely stay in your legs... and in your heart ❤️.
Departure from the Capitole, without miss Everdeen unfortunately 🏹, we are not in Panem... and fortunately! 😅 You will cross the west of Toulouse, up to the Lycée-collège de la rue Pierre de Fermat. You will retrace your steps 👣, to go to the north of the city ⬆️, cross the quays 🌊, the Prairie of Filters 🌼 and finally return to the beautiful Place du Capitole... 🏁 What an escapade, the people of Toulouse will make you run! 😂
Same thing... but for two! 😝
Departure from Place du Capitole! 🏁 You will run to the rue du Collège de Foix, continue to the Lycée-Collège de la rue Pierre de Fermat and return to Place du Capitole, in front of the City Hall. Piece of cake! 🤧
