The event in a few words

Are you ready to discover a unique adventure in the Pays de la Loire? 🏃‍♂️ Now is the perfect time! In February, during the trail Les Pieds dans l'Buru in La Cropte, where fresh air and forest landscapes abound 🌲, you will dive right into the heart of Mayenne 📍. Don't worry, this is just a figure of speech, you won't actually be diving into the river! 🏊‍♂️ According to trail runners who have already trodden these paths, it's a real trail in the middle of nature that you're about to discover 🤩. Apparently, you might come across does or even llamas along the way 🦙.

Speaking of paths, what about the courses? 🤔 There will be something for everyone! 😎 If you're an ultra-trail runner at heart and timed-loop races ⌚ don't scare you, you can take on the "Ultime Time Master" of 7.6 km 🤓. The goal: finish the loop in under an hour and start again as many times as you can! A shorter joker loop will be set up for women and M5 participants. They can do it as many times as they like except on the first and last laps. For fans of short trail, the "Trail Chrono" of 15 km will put your endurance to the test 💪. If you're looking for a gentler approach, the 16 km and 8 km Nordic walks will be perfect options for you 🥾. Fans of short, intense challenges won't be left out with the “Australian-style race” of 1.52 km: each time runners cross the line, 15% of those still in the race are eliminated, until the last one standing. The organizers won't "leave baby in a corner" 🎬, as a kids' race is planned at the end of the day! 🧒

Little seeds of trail runners will be in the spotlight at this event, as it works hand in hand 🤝 with the association "Graines d'Enfants" 🌱. Its aim is to promote freedom of speech, exchange, listening and information on infertility, mainly regarding egg and sperm donation for couples awaiting donations 💰.

After taking on your challenge, why not explore the region? 🗺️ Half an hour away by road, you'll find the large city of Laval, nicknamed the City of Douanier Rousseau. You can visit its magnificent Château de Laval, perfect if you're a history buff and love architecture 🏰. If you don't feel like traveling far, you can just as well visit the Saulges caves, a very fun outing you'll remember! 👣 Prefer some family relaxation? 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 The Refuge de l'Arche in Château-Gontier will let you meet rescued animals, a day full of discoveries! 🐾 If you're more in search of a romantic getaway, the towpath along the Mayenne river offers a most charming riverside stroll 🛶. And let's not forget to mention Angers, where you can wander through its historic streets and enjoy delicious local cuisine 😋.

So lace up your sneakers and join the start line for an extraordinary sporting and tourist experience! ✨

4 reasons to join this race

A unique challenge 💪
Run the same loop every hour... until only one trail runner remains in the race, or until you are the first to reach 100 km on the clock! This timed-loop race is a true physical and mental challenge, because you must not go out too fast, nor think about giving up 🥵.
A friendly event 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
The "Ultime Time Master" isn't the only race on the program! The organizers have thought of everyone. So you can line up for a 15 km trail or a Nordic walk! Even kids can lace up their sneakers for the "Ludo Trail" 😉.
To support a good cause 🎗️
Les Pieds dans l'Buru is above all an event with a heart of gold. The event partners with the association Graines d'Enfants, which promotes freedom of speech, exchange, listening and information on infertility, and particularly on egg and sperm donation for couples awaiting donations 👶.
Authentic landscapes ✨
In the small village of La Cropte, nestled not far from Laval in Mayenne, the trail runners may outnumber the residents! With only 270 inhabitants, the villagers will still be there to cheer you on during your race. The course will guide you through nature and along the village's trails 🗺️.
