Do you feel like your life lacks a bit of spice and positive elevation? 🌶️ Want to prove to your friends that you can survive three days without a couch, Netflix, and a four-cheese pizza? 🍕 Don't move (unless you’re already warming up), because we've found the cure for your laziness: the Hannibal Raid! 🏃♀️ No, it has nothing to do with the antics of Hannibal Lecter: a student multisport raid as epic as the movie 🎬, but with more sweat and less cold sweats 👹. Organized by the diehards of EM Lyon Business School 📚, this raid is THE race not to be missed if you want to test your mind, your calves, and your cardio.
We’re talking here about 160 km of wild joy, the Hannibal Raid is organizing its 26th edition this year in Savoie, in the Valley of Maurienne. The grand finale will take place near the Mont-Cenis Lake 🏔️. 9,000 mD+, some mountain biking, trail running, a vertical kilometer, surprise events, and even a night trail! 🌙 Two new events are coming to the Hannibal Raid this year: a biathlon event (trail + target shooting) as well as a surprise activity, Mountain Kart, which will not be timed. Teams can be composed of up to 6 members (it is recommended to be 6). At least 4 people must start each event, including at least one female 🫵.
If you're not already at the peak of your physical fitness, don't panic, there's the Prologue of the Hannibal Raid 📆, scheduled a day before in Lyon 🦁, just to warm you up and remind you that your cardio isn’t dead yet. After all, you have until the end of May to get ready! 😋 The prologue is a sporty and festive appetizer 🥳, a cheerful way to sweat in a community. On the agenda: a 5 km race 🎽, but also good music 🎶, stalls, entertainment! Don't like running? Come for the food trucks 🍔. Don’t like food trucks? Then we’re starting to worry about you 😩. Whether you're a war machine or a casual effort enthusiast, the Prologue is the perfect moment to experience the spirit of the Raid without having to sell a trail shoe for registration 😜.
And speaking of registration, slots for the Hannibal Raid are snapped up as fast as a runner who just spotted the finish line: over 250 participants each year 👯♂️, from all over France and even a bit beyond (we suspect one or two Swiss sneaking in) 😄. And beware, there is no ranking by the number of selfies taken on the peaks 🤳, but rather a blend of endurance, team strategy, adventure spirit, and above all, the desire to push your limits without crying too much during the descent 😎. So, ready to follow in Hannibal's footsteps (the one with the mountains, not the one with the cannibals)? 🦹♂️ To climb passes like others climb metro steps, to pedal as if your life depended on it? 🚵♀️ Whether you’re here to push your limits or to have a crazy experience as a team, between bivouacs and breathtaking panoramas, the Hannibal Raid is the adventure you need 🕺. And between us, if you finish the raid without walking like a cowboy for three days, you’ve cheated 🤠.
Come on, grab your sneakers, your partner, and your motivation, and come write your legend! 😇
