The event in a few words

The Itzer Trail Spring is back for its spring edition! 🌼 In May, get ready for a crazy experience in Itzer, in the Middle Atlas region, in Morocco 🇲🇦. Distance-wise, there's something for everyone with a trail of 100 km (2,800 mD+) for the best trained 💪, one of 56 km (1,300 mD+) for the brave 🕺, and one of 10 km (150 mD+) for the challengers 😎. For this great event, the organization has decided not to do things the usual way. Depending on what you feel like, you can take part in 1 of the races, 2 of the races or 3 of the races! 📌

Let us explain: you can choose to combine the 35 km and the 21 km to complete 56 km in two days! ⚡ Or, if you really want to take on a great challenge, you can sign up for all three races to complete 100 km! 🔥 You'll start this getaway on Friday, May 16, 2025 with the 44 km, then continue with the 35 km the next day and finish with the 21 km on Sunday! 📆 In any case, this three-stage event will have you cover a total of 100 km and 2,800 mD+! 🥵 Yes, for this one, it's best to start lacing up your sneakers early in the year! 👟 If it helps, know that you'll have the chance to run through the most beautiful places a runner could hope to cross! 🏞️ And anyway, if you're not ready for 100 km, you can always fall back on an easier distance, it's made for that too 😉.

Since its creation in 2019, the race has been committed to several very important causes: the fight against poverty, the implementation of development projects for the benefit of the local population, and also the creation of a culture of solidarity 🙌. Itzer is a rural municipality in the province of Midelt, in the Middle Atlas 🌍. It's a protected place, far from mass tourism, where nature reigns supreme! 🌿 Let yourself be carried away by the beauty of the landscape, notably Lake Sidi Ali 💧, which will appear on your path like a mirage! The Ait Lhaj Itzer dam offers a view of a range of majestic mountains 🌄. So yes, you're surely wondering, and the answer is yes: in May, in this region of Morocco, temperatures hover around 20°C. So it's warm 🌡️ for running. So don't forget to gear up properly! Cap 🧢 and sunglasses 🕶️ go in the suitcase! It's at times like these that you'll be happy to learn that you'll also get to roam through the forest of oak and cedar 🌳. Yes, a bit of shade sometimes doesn't hurt…

Even if it's hard, you can also tell yourself that you're running for a good cause. Indeed, the event is very focused on the charitable side 🤝. At the end of 2024, the race's association, created by the young people of Itzer, had invested more than 400 thousand euros in numerous initiatives: the sponsorship of orphans, medical caravans, improvements and works in schools with donations of new equipment for students, school support and plenty of other charitable operations! ❤️

Running is also an opportunity for you to collaborate and help others! 💌 So, won over by this sensational Itzer Trail Spring? 🤘
