Want to take on one of the fastest 10 km routes in the French capital? Although there's no runway in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, you might run into speed demons at every corner 🚀. Indeed, many runners will line up at the starting line on Rue Lecourbe, in the southwest of the City of Light 💡. The engines will rev, and the jet fuel will burn, get ready, because it's going to blow you away 🌬️.
"I believe I can touch the sky" 🌟. But hey, no need to go so high to win the gold medal at the Flytex 10 km Paris15. Once you cross the finish line, you will have already flown over the pavement for 10,000 meters, the distance between the stratosphere and the earth's surface in some parts of the world 🌍. In short, it should be more like "I believe I can" but rather "I know I can". But let's keep our feet on the ground: the course is composed exclusively of tarmac, allowing you to consistently pick up speed. You'll breeze through the 10 km and the 43 mD+ without even realizing you've started 🤯. To make it as easy as possible, the organizers have set up a unique loop, so there's no risk of taking the wrong turn and missing your PR (yes, yes, just like Elvis Cheboi at the La Rochelle Marathon for example 😬). Here you can race straight ahead without worrying about signage. The only color code to remember is black and white, which means you can stop running 🏁. If you want to extend your effort, nothing stops you, but you won't be timed anymore 😂.
"The flight from Paris will land on route 15" 🛬. Once the journey is over and the bags are set down in the Parisian capital, you can pull out the flip-flops and go for a stroll in the area 🩴. You won't even need to hire a tour guide; you'll find wonders at every street corner 📸. The 15th arrondissement is one of the largest in the city and houses, among others, the Statue of Liberty (or at least one of its official replicas 😋), the Aquaboulevard of Paris, the Montparnasse Tower, and the Parc Georges Brassens. If you cross the border and decide to explore the 7th arrondissement, you're about to enter a real treasure trove 💛: the Place des Invalides, the Champ de Mars, the Rodin Museum, the Musée d’Orsay, the Quai Branly Museum and of course the Eiffel Tower are concentrated in an area of less than 4 square km 🗼. Finally, whichever district you're in, there are beautiful things to see everywhere. That's the real advantage of Paris: wherever you are, you'll always find something to sink your teeth into 🦷. Of course, that goes for food too: from the croque-monsieur to the macaron, passing by the Paris ham or the Paris-Brest, you won't leave with an empty stomach 🤤.
In the month of May, take a flight (tex) to Paris and the Île-de-France region 🛩️.
