The event in a few words

In the sacred mountains of Mount Circeo, where the waves of the Tyrrhenian Sea 🌊 crash against the cliffs and where the mysteries of the Odyssey come to life 💭, San Felice Circeo awaits you 🤩. This corner of Italy 🇮🇹, nestled in the Lazio region, is steeped in legends 🧜‍♂️. They say it was here that the sorceress Circe 🧙‍♀️turned Ulysses’ sailors into pigs 🐖. Luckily, the only transformation you can expect when you tread these lands is becoming a modern-day hero 🏅, ready to conquer the Maga Circe Marathon

Get ready to run in an exceptional setting 🌟. Between San Felice Circeo and Sabaudia, you’ll be surrounded by the wild beauty of the Circeo National Park, a protected area of nearly 8,500 hectares. The start, at the port of San Felice Circeo ⚓, launches you onto an asphalt course that winds between the municipalities of Sabaudia while running along the sea 🐟. But that’s not all: the Maga Circe Marathon is an international-scale race, listed on the prestigious World Athletics Global Calendar and on the Italian national FIDAL calendar as a Bronze stage 🏅. If you’re not ready to take on such a distance, other routes are available to you 🤗. The boldest will choose the 29 km, a perfect challenge to balance effort and enjoyment ⚡. Speed lovers will set off on the quest for the 10 km 🚀 while families will enjoy the Family Walk of 2.5 km 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦.

But this adventure doesn’t end at the finish line 🏁. Once the medal is around your neck 🏅, let yourself be charmed by the treasures of San Felice Circeo and its surroundings. Climb to the top of Mount Circeo ⛰️ for breathtaking panoramas, explore the mysterious Grotta Guattari 🕳️, where Neanderthal remains were discovered, or simply relax on the pristine beaches of Sabaudia. Even if the water isn’t very warm in February, dive into the Tyrrhenian Sea to soothe your tired muscles 🦵… That gives you a free cryotherapy session ❄️ 😎. And because a hero deserves a feast 🍽️, treat yourself to local specialties : fresh seafood 🦞, stracciatella alla Romana 🍲, and of course, a glass of wine 🍷 or a limoncello 🍋 to celebrate your victory. Consume in moderation, of course! 🫡
