You will embark on your next race on an island ๐๏ธ. When we say Malta, what do you think of? Partying? ๐บ Well, no, wrong! We are here to talk to you about the famous Malta Marathon ๐ค.
Created in 1986, it is one of the oldest in Europe, nothing less! For its 41st edition, the organizer offers you 3 events: the famous marathon with its 42.195 km, the half-marathon of 21.097 km, and finally a walkathon ๐ถโโ๏ธ. This last event will follow the half-marathon course, starting at the same time, but with a little more time to finish the race. You have the choice to walk (of course) or run it. The idea is to offer a less competitive event ๐ that remains challenging! ๐ช This city-to-city race will start from the old capital, Mdina, ending at Sliema ๐.
This race will not only allow you to surpass yourself but also to enjoy the beauty of this Mediterranean island by running by the sea ๐, under a sunny sky ๐ with fairly mild temperatures for February โ๏ธ. By starting in Mdina, you are embarking on a race full of culture and history. Indeed, the city, nicknamed "Silent City" ๐คซ, is a historic town located in the center of the country. The former capital of Malta is renowned for its tranquil atmosphere, its quiet streets, and its timeless ambiance ๐.
If after victoriously crossing the finish line ๐ you still have energy to spare, head to the capital to dance the night away ๐ชฉ. Known for its vibrant nightlife, Valletta hosts numerous festivals throughout the year ๐. If you fancy quiet strolls, head to Rabat, neighboring Mdina, which is ideal for family walks ๐ช. If you don't feel like wandering on foot ๐ฃ and are completely worn out from your race, don't hesitate to relax on the beaches of Golden Bay: one of the most beautiful beaches in Malta, perfect for resting after the effort ๐๏ธ and just a few minutes away by car ๐.
So, ready to take on the challenge and have an unforgettable experience? ๐ Register now and savor every step in this exceptional setting! ๐
You will start from Mdina, outside the bastions of the ancient capital of Malta. You will then cross the main road of Rabat, descend through Nigret to reach Ta'Qali ๐ค.
