The event in a few words

Ready to swap your pajamas for a pair of running shoes and a breathtaking view of the Pacific? 🌊 Put on your windbreaker, we’re taking off for California! ✈️

So, you’re dreaming of San Francisco? 🇺🇸 Forget the clichés about hippies and cable cars climbing the hills, in June, it’s in the heart of the Presidio that it all goes down! 🌳 For anyone who was sleeping through geography class 😴, the Presidio is a former military playground turned into an absolutely mind-blowing national park, located at the northern tip of the city. We’re talking a winning combo 🎰: endless greenery 🌳, sea air whipping your face and, above all ⛴️, a special guest who loves to play hide-and-seek: the morning fog (or “Karl the Fog” to friends) ☁️.

The старт goes off just as golden light begins to pierce the fog, yep, when the Golden Gate Bridge is nearby, that also means a morning Golden Hour (handy for those Instagram photodumps 🤳)! The event is a true ode to the California summer ☀️ : the one where you’d rather listen to waves than hit your alarm’s snooze button ⏰. Whether you’re a die-hard running purist or more of a Sunday stroller, the organizers have gone all out with a range of distances that would make an all-you-can-eat buffet blush 😍. Between the Half Marathon, the 10K, the 5K, and even a walk for doggos (yes, dogs are the VIPs here 🐾), there’s no excuse to stay on the couch 🛋️.

The highlight of the show? Crossing the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. Crossing this orange giant mid-effort is treating yourself to a memory worth more than all the trophies in the world 🏆. You’ll feel the bridge vibrate beneath your feet, you’ll see the bay stretching out before your eyes, and honestly, if that doesn’t give you a boost, we don’t know what will! It’s the perfect moment to feel like Rocky Balboa (fewer stairs, more ocean view 🌊). You’re not just running for the time; you’re running to be part of SF legend.

And because after the effort, comfort isn’t optional, the finish feels like a Woodstock festival 🎉. Imagine crossing the line and coming face-to-face with a mountain of steaming pancakes 🥞. Paradise, right? Add live music to make you forget your soreness and an ultra-vibrant community atmosphere. Once your belly is full and your ears are happy, what next? San Francisco has plenty to fill your photo albums and your memory with souvenirs! You can go say hi to the sea lions at Pier 39 👋, try not to get lost in the lanes of Chinatown, or simply head to Dolores Park to watch the local wildlife (very entertaining, promise). In short, it’s the ultimate experience to kick off your summer in style! 🎸

So, are you making your “California Dreamin'" a reality? 🎶

4 reasons to join this race

Crossing the Golden Gate Bridge 🌁
It’s the undisputed star of the race and a rare privilege. Running on the most famous bridge in the world offers a unique perspective on the bay and the San Francisco skyline 🧱. It’s the moment you realize your rainy training runs were truly worth it. A guaranteed visual slap with every stride on this orange icon! 🧡
A champion’s breakfast at the finish 🥞
Forget sad cereal bars and lukewarm tea. Here, the finish line rhymes with a pancake party and maple syrup galore. It’s the ultimate reward for your calves and the best way to recharge in a festive atmosphere. You come for the race, you definitely stay for the breakfast! 😋
Magical weather and light 😎
Chasing away the morning mist in the cool Pacific air is a sensory experience all on its own. June’s golden light cuts through the fog to illuminate your route through the Presidio ☀️. It’s the perfect setting to nail a personal best without suffering from stifling heat. A postcard-worthy backdrop that changes every minute! 📸
An event for absolutely everyone 🙌
No need to be an Olympic athlete to toe the line. With formats ranging from the half to the “Sunday Stroll” open to dogs, it’s a celebration for the whole community 🐕. We love this inclusive spirit where your faithful companion can also take home a medal (or at least a pat). It’s California friendliness turned up to the max! 💛
