The 2-day version of the ESSEC Raid, aimed at the most seasoned athletes ⚔️.
The start will be given from inside the Royaumont Abbey on Saturday around 9 AM for a first stage of road running 🛣️. You will have the opportunity to wander through the magnificent forests of the Val-d'Oise: the Forêt Domaniale de Carnelle, the Forêt Domaniale d’Isle Adam and the Montmorency Forest 🌳. But how can we talk about Val-d'Oisien heritage without mentioning its magnificent castles and architectures? 🏰 Aside from the start at Royaumont Abbey, you will pass in front of the Château de Saint-Martin at Tertre and the Château de la Chasse 🦌.
Canoeing and a bike & run part of 14 km will then transition into the final cycling part 🛶. And yes, to close this first day of Saturday, you will ride with the whole pack on a greenway on your trusty steed with two wheels 🚴, in the town of Nesles-la-Vallée that will take you straight to Auvers-sur-Oise 🌃. On-site, a gymnasium will be set up with a dinner and a well-deserved night's rest 😴.
On the second day, you will start by admiring the Château de Léry, jogging lightly, before reaching the village of Epiais-Rhus where an orienteering race and a refreshment stop with typical local products from the ESSEC Raid await you 🧭. The course will then take you towards Pontoise for a city crossing before joining the banks of the Oise where you can enjoy the green spaces of the Île-de-France green belt 🌱. Bike and run and road biking are on the agenda once again ✅.
After 48 hours of effort, you can sleep peacefully and enjoy a well-deserved rest 🥱.
