Runtalya Marathon 2027

Ahhhh, April, the beginning of spring 🪷, it smells like vacation time, doesn't it? 🧳 And since you're part of the Finishers team, we know that "vacation" often rhymes with "new sports challenge" 🏃‍♀️‍➡️. So buckle up and lace up your shoes 👟, we're taking you to Turkey and more precisely to Antalya! The 5th largest city in the country once again gathers thousands of participants from around the world 🌍 at the start of the Antalya Marathon! Also known as Runtalya, this road race event is the largest in Turkey (yes, really!) 🤯. In the south of Turkey, be careful not to overheat! 🥵 Even if you're running by the seaside, the sun will still be strong: 26° forecasted 🌡️.

But don't worry if you're not eager to exert yourself too much 🏋️, Runtalya offers several distances! 5 km, 10 km, half-marathon, or the main event, the 42 km 👑, you will have plenty of options! 😁 Neither the heat nor your level will be valid excuses to miss this expertly crafted event ☝️. Even the course itself is a treat! 🕯️ No elevation gain, uninterrupted sea views 🌊, historical landmarks 🕌 around every corner, and finally the Duden Waterfalls and Lara Beach 🏖️ as the grand finale for the marathoners of the day 😉. The Archaeological Museum, Hadrian's Gate, Cumhuriyet Square, the "Turkish Riviera" will no longer hold any secrets for you! 😏

Since you'll probably finish your race in record time 🚀 (we know you're a competitor looking for a PB ⏱️), it will be an opportunity to swap your running shoes for some city shoes 👞 and stroll through the streets of the historic center! After the race, you can explore the old town of Kaleiçi with its cobbled streets and Ottoman houses 🏘️, or visit the Archaeological Museum 🏛️ to discover ancient treasures 🪙. If you're more in the mood for a nature getaway 🏞️, you can head to (or return to, if you conquered the 42 km 😎) the Duden Waterfall! 💦 And if you're thirsty for adventure, you can always go a bit further and discover the ancient theater of Aspendos, renowned for its exceptional acoustics 🎶.
