The event in a few words

Hold up 🛑. A trail in the land of Dracula 🧛, are you in? 👢

Before talking about the race, let's talk about the boss 👑: Constantina Diță. This athlete snagged the Olympic gold 🥇 in the marathon at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 at 38 years old 🤯. To give you some context, at an age when some start to feel back pain getting out of bed 🛌, she was racing over 42 km at rocket speed 🚀. Now, she invites you at the end of June in her secret garden 🤫, in Sinaïa, Romania 🇷🇴. We are in the heart ❤️ of the Prahova county, where the mountains don't mess around ⛰️. With 3 events on the schedule in one day, the event transforms this chic resort ⛷️ into the HQ of trail running.

The playground is what we call a demanding course 🛤️. Forget the smooth tarmac, here we deal with forest trails 🌳, rugged paths and climbs on ski slopes. Yes, the stuff people ski down in winter 🥶, you'll be climbing in shorts 🩳. It's the intense moment of the race where your calves will question what you're doing there 🦵. But don't panic, the iconic passage in front of the Peleș Castle, the former sovereign residence 🏰, will give you a royal boost before tackling the mountain 💣. The queen distance? A 21 km that will let you discover the Carpathians like never before 🙌. If that's too much for you, you can always opt for the 10 km. Just between us, it's not a walk in the park either, a nice elevation awaits you with open arms 🤗. You'll even have the chance to bring your little tribe members 🐺, as free kids' races of 400 m, 800 m, and 1000 m depending on age will take place at the same time 🥳. Future champions deserve their moment of glory too 👶.

For local experiences, Sinaia is a gem 🔍. If your legs aren't too sore, take a tour of Pelișor Castle, the Art Nouveau little brother of Peleș 😍. For families, the Bucegi Natural Park is perfect for a leisurely walk 🌲 and your Instagram feed. You can also visit the historic casino 🎰 (it's no longer in operation, no worries for bank advisors 😉) or just dreamily stroll 💭 through the town's streets to find the best "papanași" restaurant (the local donuts, an absolute delight) 🍩. In short, it's the perfect weekend to combine sport and culture without hassle 🙃.

However, what you should take are Romanian lessons, your pair of trail shoes AND ABOVE ALL your race bib 😉.

4 reasons to join this race

Run in the footsteps of an Olympic legend 🏆
Constantina Diță is not just an organizer, she is the soul of the race. Enjoy a course designed by a champion who dominated the world at 38, giving an extra spirit to your race bib. She knows every corner of Sinaia and has crafted these routes to share her passion. It's rare to check your watch at the finish line under the gaze of such a world sports icon 👟.
The royal setting of Peleș Castle 🏰
Forget the industrial zone starts. Here, you set off in front of one of Europe's most beautiful castles. Running past this Renaissance masterpiece ensures you unforgettable memories (and photos). The contrast between the elegance of the royal architecture and the wildness of the surrounding peaks creates a unique atmosphere you won't find on any other trail 👑.
The vertical challenge of the ski slopes 🎿
This is the intense moment of the race. Climbing Sinaia's slopes in the summer is a real test for your calves. The passage to Cota 1400 is demanding and will convince everyone of the course's difficulty. It's a crescendo experience: the higher you go, the thinner the air and the more breathtaking the view. A final descent into the city will leave you with unforgettable memories 🏔️.
An accessible and authentic journey 🌍
Romania is one of the best value-for-money destinations for a European runner. Between the affordable race bib price and the local cost of living, you can enjoy a royal weekend without breaking your savings. It's an opportunity to discover the Carpathians, a wild and preserved mountain range, far from the human tide of the Alps. You'll return with an original medal and plenty of stories to tell 🇷🇴.
