“ Spartans, what is your profession ? ”
“ Ahou, ahou, ahou ” 🛡️ Ready to step into the shoes of a real Spartan for the duration of an extraordinary obstacle race? 🤯 Flex those big arms and get ready to take on the Spartan Race Paris Jablines ! In September, it’s back to school… and back to sport 🎒. Holidays are over ❌—lace up your sneakers and, like a true commando, head to the leisure island of Jablines, about 40 km from Paris.
We’ll tell you straight away: what awaits you isn’t a stroll, but an obstacle race. On the agenda, you’ve got the Spartan Sprint of 5 km 💪. This course packs in 20 technical obstacles where you’ll have to crawl through mud in the famous barbed wire crawl, scale vertical walls with the climb walls and carry heavy loads on the sandbag carry 🏋️♂️. Your accuracy will also be put to the test with the spear throw 🎯, before enjoying the big final leap over the flames with the fire jump 🔥. If you’re a fighter who wants to go further, go for the Spartan Super of 10 km, with 25 structures ready to really throw a wrench in your plans 🤬. On top of the Sprint basics, your arms will burn hard on the dreaded bucket carry, while the multi-rig and the hercules hoist will push your grip to the limit ✋. You’ll also have to tame the slippery slope of the slip wall and the dizzying inverted wall if you want to triumph. These races test your athleticism and your mindset all the way to the finish line! But beware, no cheating: every obstacle must be completed, otherwise it’s 30 burpees as a penalty 🥵 (and trust us, nobody wants to run into a judge who’s got it out for cheaters). Get ready to combine speed, endurance, technique, and a hefty dose of motivation: the ultimate recipe to become an all-powerful Spartan 💥. If you’re an even more seasoned Spartan, opt for the HH 4H / 12H / 24H formats, which offer commando-style missions with a unique mental and physical challenge 🪖. The Hurricane Heat is a team endurance challenge inspired by the military, where your individual time doesn’t exist, giving way to continuous team effort over several hours ⏳.
Calling all parents who want to toughen up their little warriors from the youngest age: the Spartan Kids Race offers 3 distances ranging from 1 to 3 km. Depending on their age, the Spartans in training will take on all kinds of obstacles 👶. It’s their chance to roll around in the muddy snow 🥾, get their clothes dirty 🩳, run and scream their heads off 😈—all while being cheered on by mom and dad! The Spartan Race Paris is also a festival ! 🥳 All day long, the Spartan Festival is in full swing and welcomes you in a warm atmosphere, even if you’re not racing! Once you’ve crossed the finish line, you can celebrate your achievement with a good beer (or two) 🍻 surrounded by all the medal-wearing participants 🥇 ready to cut loose 🤪. Alcohol should of course be consumed in moderation ⚠️. Warrior songs 🎶, wild dancing 🕺, great food 🍔 and shopping at the stalls 🤑—it’s the perfect recipe to forget the pain and remind you that you’re now part of the “Spartans” community 💪.
After the race (and a good shower 🚿), stick around a bit! Yep, there are things to do in the Yvelines. First off, you’re about twenty kilometers from the sumptuous Palace of Versailles 👑. If you still haven’t had your fill of sport, you can spend a day cycling along the Allée royale de Villepreux 🚲. This long road is known for its fields as far as the eye can see, and in the low sun, rest is guaranteed 🌾. Beynes also has a pond where you can lounge and picnic 🌯. It’ll be the perfect time to relive the falls of that buddy you dragged, by force, to the Spartan 🤣. If you’re more of a foodie, stop by a local restaurant and try the Yolin, Saint-Germain pea purée, or the Rambolitain cake: a real delight 🥧.
So, ready to take on the obstacles and show what you’re made of? ⚔️
