The event in a few words

"Who, who? The midnight relayers!" 🔥

For this edition of the Night of the Relays, see you in Bordeaux, in the heart of the Southwest Metropolis, more precisely at Place Pey-Berland 🇫🇷. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Women's Foundation, the Night of the Relays is setting its bags in early June in Gironde, in the department of New Aquitaine 🌊 for an event you will remember for a long time. Here, there's no need to be a marathon runner 🏃 or have the calves of Rocky Balboa 🥊: the event is a relay race in solidarity, inclusive, and festive, open to everyone 🙌. We're not talking about the stopwatch ⏱️, but about heart, with an intense evening where every extra lap helps advance women's rights 🙏.

The route takes place in the city center of the Bordeaux municipality. The Place Pey-Berland ⛲️ is somewhat the heart of the city 💗: here you will find City Hall (which you can also call "Palais Rohan" if you want to be classy, and which dates back to the 18th century 🫨), the Saint-André Cathedral, or even the Pey-Berland Tower 🗼. Each monument has its history and constitutes an architectural marvel 🏛️. So the program is to run as many laps as possible in this iconic local setting 🔁. Running in this setting, with a sunset at the end of the day and an atmosphere worthy of the Olympic Games, you'll see it has something grandiose and glorifying 🤩. And especially when you're running for a cause that makes sense... The profile is flat, ideal for alternating between frenzied running and dynamic walking without risking a sprain 🌸. You'll set off for a 1.5-hour relay with your team on a 600 m course. All this to support the Women's Foundation which works in assisting women victims of domestic violence.

The atmosphere is the lifeblood of this event 🫁. Don't expect monastic silence ⛪️: here, it's a true luminous human tide 🌈. We have hundreds of participants, companies and teams united under the spotlights 🔦. Between two relay shifts, you'll enjoy a lively village 🕺, a refreshment bar to recharge 🍸, and a DJ set that will transform the mythical square into an open-air nightclub 🪩. It’s the ultimate anti-austere race 🪙, where smiling is mandatory in every photo 📸. Yep, we're watching you 😉.

After the race, take advantage of being in the city center to explore the surroundings 🔍. You can extend your run near the Bordeaux Park or stroll along the Left Bank 💦. The docks were refurbished a few years ago 🚧, and since then, we haven't found a better place to stroll at the end of the day or on weekends 😌. Taste-wise, venture into the Saint-Rémi and Saint-Pierre streets, just a few meters from the legendary Rue Sainte-Catherine 🏘️, the largest pedestrian and shopping street in Europe 😱 by the way. Indeed, challenges come one after another 😂. These streets are full of typical bistros offering local specialties and sharing boards among teammates. Here in Bordeaux 🌁, canelés and duck breasts are kings and it would be a shame to miss out on them 👀.

On your marks. Get set? Run! 🏁

4 reasons to join this race

An adventure to share 🤝
The event is experienced in teams of 3 to 5 people, making it the ideal team-building activity or the perfect outing with friends. We take turns, encourage each other, laugh, and eventually cross the finish line together. It's proof that unity is strength, especially when it comes to passing the baton with class 🤝.
A true commitment to solidarity 🫂
Participating in the Night of the Relays is above all supporting the Women's Foundation and fighting against violence. Every euro collected through your €500 donation collection goes directly to field associations that support victims daily 🦸‍♂️. You're not running for a medal, but for the equality and dignity of all ✊.
A grand open-air party 🕺
Unlike classic races where you go home after a shower, the Night of the Relays is a real festive evening. Between the village entertainment, the DJs, and the refreshment bar, the atmosphere never lets up until the end. It's one of the few events where people come as much for the ambiance as for the sporting performance 💃.
The surrounding monuments 🤩
Strolling around Place Pey-Berland is a bit like visiting a museum, but without the walls, with the sun warming your head, and much more grandiose 🌅. The Pey-Berland Tower, the City Hall, and the Saint-André Cathedral already hold surprises for you, but if you extend your walk to the Grand Théâtre or to Place de la Bourse with its famous Water Mirror 🪞, you'll truly see what Bordeaux-style class means 😎.

Message from the president of the Women's Foundation, Anne-Cécile Mailfert:

“Against violence towards women, we all have a role to play. With the Night of the Relays, we turn our collective momentum into concrete action alongside women and the field associations that support them. Ensuring every woman a life without violence may seem obvious, but it remains a battle where each step is a victory.”
