Are you a fan of multi-sport disciplines and crave something spectacular? 🤩
Pack your bags quickly, grab your swimsuit, your bike, and your running shoes 👟, we’re taking you to Catalonia, in the heart of the Pyrenees in July ☀️ for the TriTour El Pont de Suert triathlon. We see you preparing your gear… Of course, you can bring your party essentials 💄, but first, believe us, there will be some serious sports action! 🤯 And there's no living by Spanish time 🇪🇸 because the events start early! Speaking of events, the TriTour El Pont de Suert triathlon offers three formats, so there's something for everyone 🔥, whether you're an amateur or a seasoned triathlete! 💪 We kick off the sports festivities right away. You'll need to be early by the Escales reservoir for the starting line 🏁 of the half, short, and aquabike! 👙 A rock'n roll start to set the mood straight away 🎸.
Undecided? Don’t worry, we're here to help you decide 😉. For the "Olympic", you'll need to be well-trained as you'll cover 1,500 m of swimming, cycle 40 km, and then run 10 km 🏃♀️. If you prefer biking over swimming, opt for the short which is a non-traditional format with 950 m of swimming, 60 km of cycling, and 10 km of running 🏊♀️. And if you're the type to hate running, there's a race for you too: aquabike. You'll swim 950 m and cycle 60 km 🚴♂️. Oh, by the way, a small detail worth mentioning, the cycling course is… Anything but flat. 1,200 mD+ awaits you for the short and aquabike 😵💫. So, are you up for it? To help you manage the elevation, note that you'll be climbing the Col de la Creu de Perves, a first-class pass ⛰️. A guaranteed “wow” effect. If you prefer speed over endurance, we have what you need 🏎️. Don't question too long why the event is called "Sprint", just look at the distances: 750 m, 21 km, 5 km, that's the plan! 📆 Just a heads up, you'll need some stamina because it's short but intense. Whatever format you choose, you'll have sore muscles but also memories to cherish 🫶.
This triathlon takes place in the town of El Pont de Suert 🌆, the capital of Alta Ribagorza. It's at altitude and the scenery is like a postcard. You’ll swim in the Escales reservoir. You’ll be amazed by the crystal-clear water and will surely want to dive in once you see the site 👀. For the cycling, as we mentioned before, there’ll be some climbing… But also some descending. That’s the perk of being in the mountains 🌄. The running takes place on the trails surrounding the Noguera Ribagorzana river. We’re telling you this because it’s very beautiful and, moreover, your fan club can cheer you on from anywhere 🕺. The setting is idyllic.
So, do you choose your format, and shall we meet at the TriTour El Pont de Suert? 🚴♀️
The triathlon format "Olympic"! 🏅
This is the perfect format to challenge the greatest legends. The advantage of these distances is that they are universal 🌍. This means you can try to beat your record across the entire world and in all the races of your choice 🤪.
If it's with the bike that you excel the most in this kind of event, this format is made for you! 😎
This unconventional distance has you performing consecutively 950 m of swimming 🏊, 57 km of biking, and 10 km of road running. And what better environment than the mountains of the Catalans for the occasion 🏔️.
Attention, just because the event is called "Sprint" doesn't mean you should give it your all from the start 🏁. Each discipline will require a significant amount of energy 🔋, so be sure to distribute it wisely 😉. 750 m of swimming, 20 km of pedaling, and 5 km of running await you around the corner 💨.
Here, running on both legs is outdated 😮💨.
We only keep the events of swimming and cycling (yes, as its name implies 🚴). To start well and not overheat the engine right from the start 🚗, you will swim in the Escales reserve 💦. After 950 m of rhythmically moving your arms, hop on your steed and continue with the second cycling event.
